Route the cable to an adapter in the 12V outlet in the center console and it should charge faster & you won't get that pop up. I had to use a USB-C extension cable because the magsafe cords are too short.
Oh, great idea. Mine is just long enough so I'm doing that now; at some point I'll have to see if I can tuck it under some trim maybe but good enough for now.

I had a similar struggle when I was looking for a charger solution for my car, and like you, I ended up finding something I loved from Boost Auto. The installation was a breeze for me too, and that YouTube video was a lifesaver! It’s great that the charger works so well for both Android and Apple phones, and the grip is really solid.On a side note, I recently picked up a Retractable Car Charger (I know, a bit different), and it’s been amazing for road trips. It's super handy because I can easily hide it away when I’m not using it, and it charges fast!
