Rear defrost grid when you install the hard top. Same kinda thing on the turn signal stalk. You've got the little wheel to activate the rear window washer spray.

Grid? Did you get the rear defrost to work on the test swap? Outside of that harness - what else had to be done?

I don’t plan on having the wiper and washer operable. They’re useless IMO.

Well, I think mine should work but when I first got the parts, the one tab was broken off the glass. My guys used a heated grid repair adhesive and "glued" it back on but I don't think it's getting a good connection because it takes forever to slightly start defrosting the window. I know it's getting powered up, just not conducting enough current to warm the glass.

My top had the heater harness and washer tubing but didn't have the jumper from the top trim down to the wiper motor. I think that still has to be bought with the other stuff but haven't seen any current tops to verify that they don't already have.

So, yours worked immediately just using the harness? No need for Forscan? Pressing the mirror defrost?

Edit: I see it’s a Badlands. So, need to dig into Forscan for us with Standard Equipment package.

I'm high pkg. Didn't have to do anything except plug it in and hit the button to activate. If you use remote start, it will turn it on if the temp criteria is right, same with seat heater.

That’s what I figured. So, now it’s digging into researching the wiring for Standard vs Mid+ packages. I can’t imagine they’d leave it out…but - then again - we were surprised by the fog light wiring in the MOD bumper w/o the sensors.

Looks like Prep-Kit/Sept 2021+ w/ Standard have an updated HVAC control.

I am digging into Forscan. I was successfully able to find, enable and write Rear Defrost in the APIM module, but it keeps giving me a “Service Procedure has been interrupted” when trying to write enabled in HVAC.

Huh, I did not see any settings for Rear Defrost in the BCMC Module…I guess I’ll dig further. BJB = Battery Junction Box? Is it possible I don’t have a fuse in place? I’ll report back.

Thanks Phil!

Ah, I was thinking BdyCM. Don’t see anything in there.

As for BCM_C these are my settings:

Oh, also - 40A fuse is in fact in position 50.

I really hope I don’t need a $350 for defrost.

@flip - can you see what the difference is between M2DZ-19980-B and N2DZ19980L?

I gotta find someone that can translate those BCM_C modules I posted above for me...
