I was hoping to be lucky not to have this issue but I was cleaning my tops before putting them back on and I see some small cracks developing on the drivers top. My question is what has been Fords response to anyone who has had this also? Are they replacing them? And if so, do they match? My Bronco is a ā€˜24 Wildtrak & 22,000 miles

Dealer will submit to Ford the claim. It likely will be approved. Replacement is not warrantied to match.

It happens to everyone eventually. That’s the worst part.

When you get your new one, immediately put it on FB marketplace and sell it for $3,999 (it will sell fast). Then go directly to @Turn Offroad and get their top.

Shocked more people don't do this.

Another justification for Granger Warranty - extended coverage and no hassle for getting this fixed. :D

My Granger contract specifically states it does.
I know they sell the Ford PremiumCare warranties. I assume this is a different one? Is it only available to local customers?

Asking because I’ve bought my last two Ford PremiumCare warranties from them and this was definitely not covered for me.

Guess I need a "take-back." It's not the Granger warranty that covers my top. Ford extended my bumper-to-bumper coverage because this Bronco was a "loaner." I have an extra year (4-yr / 48K miles). Sorry guys & gals...my apologies.

So I’m just gonna let it ride until I’m closer to my warranty expiring and maybe all the panels will have cracks by then and they can replace them all. I actually saw one today that looks to have had a warranty replacement and the ā€œTtopsā€ definitely did not match the 2nd row or the rear(4 door).

Has anyone heard of someone wrapping the top to color match?

OP, I usually ignore these MIC threads. All the same, but since you’re new here thought I’d chime in. Literally countless threads and posts out there on this topic.

I’ll make it simple, start down the warranty road (this can vary depending on your situation) until it doesn’t work. Then you have to decide, is your top so bad it must be replaced out of pocket? If so, buy an aftermarket hardtop or soft top. Or can you try to fix or have someone try, if that’s even doable.

I could bore you with my specifics, but suffice it to say my MIC top is well outside of any warranty. It has cracked along the rear windows and more recently the two front panels have started to crack. I’ve decided when the time comes replacement with a TurnOffroad hardtop will occur. In the meantime, and please don’t laugh or criticize clear packing tape seems to be keeping cracking from progressing. We shall see.
