Yeah, there is no benefit ( for water fording) to have the snorkel higher than the top of the hood. The benefit of it being at the top of the windshield or passenger window is to get cleaner air. I live down a very dusty road. And after our trip to Baja others were replacing their nasty filters...
The snorkel is rather large where it passes through the fender. So it would cover up a less than perfect cut.
also I don’t know if it’s cheaper the Heritage fenders are the same. All you need is a Glades passenger fender.
Yup just a better tire for snow will make a big difference and depending on the tire be a great tire for off-roading. I just put a set of Falken Rubitreks on my truck and am super happy with them. They are 3 peaks rated AT tire.
Spotting Dear and then shooting them I would imagine gets you thrown in jail and confiscated vehicle and firearms. Or if you are just driving down the road shining a spotlight into random pastures, I am sure is frowned upon. I know I don’t like it when people leaving the State park go shining...
I think in practice the alternator may be the deciding factor for water fording depth but technically it is the breather tubes and the amount of fudge factor they give.
I have yet to try the water fording capabilities ( I mean I did a bunch of water crossings on Onion Creek in Moab and a 1.5...
Ooh making a hybrid set up you might find yourself having to fabricate some parts if they don’t play nice with each other. I am sure it can be done. But just might be cleaner if you have a Glades washer fluid tank, I dunno.
but if you need any pictures of a stock Everglade snorkel I can help...
We use a 5 gallon bucket trash bags baby diapers and the smelly stuff for RV toilets for our potty.
I built a 270 awning for my home built trailer. You might consider that you can customize it to fit your rig.
Nice trip we just got back from Durango in mid July. We were going to do Ophir but they opened Black Bear that morning so we opted for that trail. All awesome trails in that area. My favorite was Corkscrew. None of them difficult trails but the views (for this flat lander) are amazing.
Yep our evap system threw a CEL that’s what they kept asking if we topped off the gas. Turns out the line got kinked and was creating a blockage. The back end of the Bronco smelled like gas really bad until they fixed it. Also we were getting really good fuel mileage until they fixed it, it went...
Our well water is so hard you have to chew it. Since we have no pavement and the only concrete we have is under the house and in my garage I don’t have a good place to wash a vehicle without making a muddy mess so I just take my vehicles to the car wash about 13 miles away. And when I get to the...
Sorry this might be a little late. but the covers pop off you have to push them up they have little hooks that hold on to the hinge pin. if you open the glass you can see them. it helped if i pushed them up with the glass open then had to close the glass to get them off. I am using the Nilight...
Not a Raptor but I have the rough country OH molle panel a magnetic mini mount that I bolted in instead of using the magnets and run the power back to the cigarette outlet in the cargo area. Works like a champ even with after I painted the top with Raptor liner.
We were on a trip to Baja in March/April with a group of Broncos I used the jack many times there. Lucky for me it was not for myself. Yes it is the 4x6 blanket. We bought the set that came with 4 blankets. One in the house one in the travel trailer one in the garage and one in the Bronco.
Rain jackets, first aid kit, GMRS, dune flag, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, jumper cables, air compressor, 4- way hose, multi tool, folding shovel, tire plug kit, tie rods, tie rod repair tools, Bronco tool roll, privacy tent, squeegee, beach towels, cordless impact, sockets, gloves, winch...
Man that sucks. I love my Ford dealership it takes about an hour but they do a comprehensive inspection 5 tire rotation and oil change and send me a video of the inspection. Ford of Boerne if anyone is wondering.
Yep this hobby is addictive. Since 2023 all of our vacations revolve around off roading, or the Bronco.
A dozen times to the beach
Merus adventure Park
Key West/Everglades (we had to take the Glades to the Glades)
Big Bend
Merus again
Sand Hollow/Moab
Moab again
Nevada-California almost all...
Dang I am battling the same thing but it’s my right hip and moderate pain in my left. I find the marine grade vinyl seats in the Everglades to be very comfortable. In fact the most comfortable seat I own my lazy boy is comfortable but getting out of it kills me. The shooting pain down my leg...
I just put a set of Falken Rubitreks on my Silverado it’s a good AT tire doesn’t throw rocks driving down our 1/2 mile gravel drive. And they wouldn’t look too anemic on a Sas Bronco. https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/falken-rubitrek-a-t/p/174255
