I run my intake plate so that I am sucking in cleaner air on the back side. And yes with the windows open or top off that sucker makes a glorious sound when rolling down the beach in sand mode or sport mode. My Bronco may sound like a sewing machine but the intake is at least nice.

The snorkel is rather large where it passes through the fender. So it would cover up a less than perfect cut. also I don’t know if it’s cheaper the Heritage fenders are the same. All you need is a Glades passenger fender.
