Hello, I have a 2025 Badlands with what I believe is the capable bumper, I bought some replacement headlights through diode dynamics and was going to swap them out this weekend, but when I took a look at the back of the bumper, I couldn’t see where I could access the fog lights easily. Does anyone know what you all have to take off in order to get to the headlights?

Headlights or Foglights…….you refer to both?? Assuming you’re talking fogs….
So if you’re talking fogs and the capable bumper, you’ll need to remove bumper(4 bolts) unless something has changed. Modular bumper only need to remove bumper end pieces.

Yep, like Dan-o said, you have to remove entire bumper to access fog lights from behind. It’s a pain, but not overly difficult. Hardest part for me was unclipping the electrical harness on the driver side wheel well

Here's a post about aiming the fog lights before installing them.

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...apable-bumper-fog-lights.126996/#post-2715135

I just aimed the right side stock fog light. It will be my reference. I just bought a small sheet of mdf (1/4 x 1 x 2). I bought the Diode Dynamics Elite fog lights. So I can use one for the pattern.

If you decide to do this and you're installing different fog lights. I can give you the pattern to drill holes in the panel for one of them.

Someone posted a video a while back. I'm changing my foglights, so I did some screen shots.

It's possible to remove the foglights without removing the bumper, just not easy. The cover is also the trim on the bumper. One large piece of plastic.

Fogs and headlights have nothing to do with each other.

If you are replacing your headlights, you just take the fender flares off, then your grill, then you can take the headlights off.

For fog lights and a capable bumper. You CAN do it without removing the bumper but it's a pain. LOTS of bolts back there. Just remove the bumper. Reach up up below the driver side headlight and above the bumper. There is a wire harness connection. PULL it down to free it from the CLIP that holds it to the inside of the body. This gives you more length. Then unplug it.

Remove the shroud around you tow hooks. Remove the 3 bolts on each side. Pull bumper off. Now you can easily swap out your fogs.

thanks for finding that! super helpful!
@SPVPARTS also has mounts and wiring harnesses for fog lights for the capable bumper. I’ve had them in for over a year and the wiring is very good. I chose Baja Designs. However I will say the downside of LED figs mounted low in the bumper is that snow/ice will build up on them when it’s snowing and reduce effectiveness. They don’t get hot like halogens.

Hey!
I'm not sure if you still need a video for this, but maybe this will help if you do:

That video is quite detailed when it comes to the bumper, hardware, and wiring. Hopefully, that can help you.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Thanks!
