Just wondering who has a break in plan for their Bronco when they get it?

For any new car, I change the oil/filter at 100 miles then again at 1,000 Then onto regular oil change intervals.

There are probably a few hundred threads on everyone’s break in opinions. I recommend doing a search or scrolling down and clicking on all the similar threads.

why not every fill-up? It's cheap insurance.

Drive it, don’t waste your money on worthless early oil changes.
agreed. It's not 1960 anymore.

I wonder, those 100 and 1000 mile changes, has anyone done an analysis on those oils from a modern, off the lot vehicle? Those particles from manufacturing left over in the engine--are they in the room with us right now?

I just took it easy for the first 1k miles or so, avoided WOT and full boost. Changed to factory fill oil and filter at 1500 miles and switched to Castro 5w-30 full synthetic and the stock Motorcraft filter. Then drove it like I normally do. I change the oil and filter every 5-6k still using the same Castrol. 15k now, no noise, runs perfectly.

From day 1, foot on the floor as long as possible for 5-6k shifts. lift only for traffic lights or pedestrians, keep the tach above 5k if at all possible, and change oil and filter at 4-5k miles...

Ducati is right. There are plenty of previous threads on that break in procedure thread. Also check oil change intervals.

As an oil and gas professional, I highly recommend changing your oil at a MINIMUM every time you fill up your tank. This has nothing to do with the benefit I might receive from an increase in demand, but because I care.
