From my experience owning multiple Wranglers from the CJ to the JL, the Jeep is worse. The Bronco isn’t great either, but slightly more raked back which helps. Another tip I’ve learned from the Jeeps is anytime I had the windshield replaced, the aftermarket glass was thinner and more prone to damage vs factory. It simply didn’t hold up as well, however it is substantially more expensive for OEM, but you also get the Easter eggs. I suggest you get an OEM, then put a protection film on it. I feel your frustration, hopefully better luck in the future.

Oh the drama!! I’ve had two replaced. The first one broke when a tractor trailer passed me on the highway. Second one broke when a dump truck in the on coming lane threw a rock into my lane. The kicker…second one happened on my way home after I picked up the Bronco for the first windshield replacement.

I agree with the OP! I ran over some road debris and got a flat! Crappy Ford rubber. I’m trading in my Bronco.

For anyone complaining about Bronco windshield cracks, ya'll never owned a Jeep and it shows.

The Ford glass is utter garbage, accept this as fact. Get the aeroskin, and either a Pilkington or FYB windshield and just don't worry about it.

I'm a late November '21 delivery and am on my eighth windshield. Get thee over thineself.

Do you follow gravel trucks for a living?

October 2021 delivery and 1 chip repaired and 0 cracks.

Oddly enough, 3 of the 4 chips/cracks have come from on coming trucks kicking up rocks and smacking the driver's side edge (all within an inch of the edge). Often wonder if my ditch lights have any effect on this.

I should have taken all of the reports regarding the cheap ass windshields Ford uses for the Bronco seriously. My Big Bend has 2 major cracks from debris while driving on highway home. What a waste of money this purchase was. Less than 5,000 miles. My advise, DO NOT buy a Bronco unless you own a glass company.

Buy a Jeep Wrangler instead! You’re gonna have so much fun!!!

That said, HE'S NOT LYING! @popo_patty had zero protection from his windshield while being pulled out of the ditch. Ford just cheaping out on their windshields. If you want a quality, rock and shackle-proof windshield, hit up Sierra Glass. We carry only the highest quality glass in the industry.

I've gotten a crack or chip in every windshield of every car/truck I have ever owned. What's your reaction when you get a ding in the door while parking at the mall?
You need to just get a bicycle.
