yes, just ordered a Bambu to give it a try. Iām more of a machining guy, and made a box on the CNC. Itās quite overkill and bulky, but works for the moment. The connector in question is the one for the headlight housing, and would provide the plug and play functionality.
To answer all of the questions;
Iām trying to keep it in the $50 dollar range. The hardest part at the moment is finding the connector for a cheap price as itās the most expensive component. The connector will make it plug and play, and people enjoy those setups.
Yes, you can hook the circuit...
I know this is an older thread, but wanted to gauge some interest on a product Iāve manufactured. I too was quite upset when I saw they put the High beams over LIN, but oddly enough not every other light, which is controlled by straight voltages.
Anyway, I made a circuit that takes the LIN BUS...
Yeah, I doubt it as well, but one can hope I guess. We have a fleet of Expeditions both old and new, and the EcoBoost just arenāt holding up. Granted is public service and we best these trucks, but the older 5.4s would routinely see 250k without any major issues. I canāt keep the turbos from...
Iām getting the turbo lag from the damned turbo lag that is present. Also, youāre claiming the V8 has more moving parts vs something with a twin turbo? See here is the issue, itās people that donāt work on these vehicles or run a fleet of Fords like I do. Everything looks good on paper, but in...
Iād love the Coyote. Yes yes, some of you people love the ECOBoost, and thatās totally fine. But anyone who is a true car guy and does their own work knows simple is better. I get the 2.7 has the turbo kick in 3-5 business days, but many just like the predictable torque curve of a V8. Also there...
Hello all. Curious if there is a decent cover you all are using with the doors and tops are off. I can only seem to find ones made by Ford for $$$ and those that are for the roof on. Thanks.
Iām all for a V8 special edition. šš. But Iād also like to see the Coyote 5.0 as a general option on all trims. Nothing insane, just an option.
From my experience owning multiple Wranglers from the CJ to the JL, the Jeep is worse. The Bronco isnāt great either, but slightly more raked back which helps. Another tip Iāve learned from the Jeeps is anytime I had the windshield replaced, the aftermarket glass was thinner and more prone to...
People who believe the manufacturers when they say they āput a heavy duty starterā in are adorable. Every brand Iāve worked on, with the exception of Chryslers and their extra battery or Etorque setup, which is troublesome, nothing has changed. Do you really think Ford or anyone else cares about...
I wish I grew up in an era where Ford, as well as others cared about high HP numbers and design. Now we get touchscreens and what they can charge you for monthly. Kinda sad.
Iām with you on this one. My main issue is small displacement motors that are blown to give them the power to actually do anything useful. Like my previous comment on the 351 Windsor thatās carbureted; That is never going to happen, just like a straight 6 300. Same with wanting Chrysler to bring...
Only because itās what they currently have to offer. If I had my way, Iād bring back a carbureted 351 Windsor with no computer controls. š . But thatās impossible, however the Coyote is slightly more possible if Ford would get off their asses. Like I said, now is the time to do so before...
If FOMOCO reads this, Iām begging for the 5.0 Coyote as an option. And not some special edition, overpriced truck that the idiot dealers will markup. Just an option on all trim levels. This would make the perfect SUV and they would sell like crazy.
Keep the other engine offerings, but a true...
5.0!!! It doesnāt have to be some overpriced special edition, just an option that can be had for all models. Stop with the CAFE crap and just put the 5.0 in. This whole āFunā thing doesnāt have to be overthought much here.
Hello all,
Currently I have a 2018 JLUR. As expected, itās been a nightmare with a blown engine at 67k, and electrical issues that took an electronics engineer (me) to figure out over the course of 6 months. No dealer could.
Anyway, Iād love to get something with the Sasquatch package because...
