BRBN Offroad 2.8 Shocks

Saw this new company that makes shocks. Looks promising. Anyone want to be the canary in the coal mine and order these? I reached out to get more information on their shocks.

They publish a lot of data, which is encouraging, but I don't really know what I'm looking at with the charts to be honest.

Just looking at retail prices - they make a lot of hay about being equivalent to Fox, but somehow cost the same as, or more, than the Foxes they are showing they are equivalent to. SO not really sure why I would go with this new shock, from a new company, that may or may not be around in 3-5 years when I need support rebuilding my shocks... versus just going with Fox, a proven company that has been around for a long long time... when both options are pretty much same performance and same price.

I hear they also have a Bronco6g discount too. Yeah I agree we need more info on their shocks before dumping 5k on shocks. Seems like a great company. Nice to see more options available for Bronco!

The data is published and available to show transparency, and also provide insight for individuals who are tech savvy on the subject; we felt it made more sense to make it available for everyone vs stating it was for our internal eyes only when requested.

In my opinion there isn't a right or wrong suspension choice, its more about making the correct choice for your budget and personal goals of the vehicle.

In relation to the comparison article you noted, you are correct the prices are similar- but there are some key differences between the two side by side:

3-way damping (HSC,LSC,Rebound) adjustment vs 2-way (HSC,LSC)

Oversized 2.8" aluminum body (12% more volume) vs a standard 2.5" (which comes within 6% capacity of a 3.0).

2.5" Piston vs 2.2" +/-

Lifetime Warranty vs a 1 Year

Some people enjoy working with boutique brands and small companies, while others prefer the "big name stuff ", it just comes down to personal preference in my opinion, likely pros and cons to both.

We don't know who's lifetime is going to be the determining factor, yours or mine?

You appear to offer a great value, but if you're gone in 5 years when I need a rebuild, then it's not a great deal at all.
