May sound like old guy talking but it does seem that newer drivers don't have the experiences that many of us had with our old cars as our first cars. An old car (20 yrs old) for a first time driver now is a technological leap in terms of reliability and safety compared to what a 20 year old car was when us GenXs were driving as first cars. My first car was pretty new and hi-tech compared to a lot on this forum. It was only a 10 year old 4cyl Cherokee so it had fuel injection and all the niceties, even being an 80s vehicle vs a 60s or 70s car.

When you only drive new cars with basically perfect safety standards, hard to know what to do when something fails.

My son’s 2021 Big Bend 2.3 liter failed to have brakes yesterday. He said he hit the brakes a they went to the floor and a brake light came on the dash. He said he pumped them once and then he had brakes again. He is 17 years old and this is very scary. Seen some other issues with this on here. Something about a vacuum hose. Failing brakes seems like it should be a recall because automakers get sued over failing brakes. It is out of warranty of course so I’m sure Ford will not do anything about it. Just be aware of this and be careful. I am becoming not a ford guy.
So no issue in the end ?
