I was curious what everyone has for cold air intakes on the 2.3L and what their experiences are with it. Also did anyone have any issues with driving in the wet.

It may also depend on the year as the engine changed in 2025. There are some good Youtube videos on the subject for the pre-2025 2.3L.

do not get the cvfab intake, terrible customer service and it causes a CEL with no fix. Doesn’t effect performance or drivability but just annoying to see it on.

I’d lean towards S&B.

Factory for me. I put a CAI in a V6 Mustang I owned years ago. Without a tune, they do about nothing. So why fix what isn't broken? if it doesn't really come with a performance bonus, and I don't plan to have the hood up, so I can't really see it as being a good use of my money.

For the 2.7, I have a Mishimoto Borne Off-road snorkel paired with a Sy-Clone pre-cleaner. This setup eliminates practically all contaminants before even reaching the air box. Mishimoto also makes cai. I have one ready to install but I’m not expecting any noticeable improvements after install. I’ve run cai in the past and in my opinion the best thing they offer is the joy of spending a few hours in the garage wrenching. I’d recommend save your money and if your looking for a noticeably upgrade in hp, run premium and a pro cal tune.

Where do any of them get any colder air than from the factory location?
They don't...the intake location is same as OEM. The OEM is a CAI. Most aftermarket simply just replace the OEM box with another similar box w/ a higher flow filter. There is virtually no HP gain w/o upgrading the rest of the intake system.

S&B is a top performer. The section to the turbo is bigger allowing better air flow. But I wouldn’t change it unless you have other modifications.
pro cal tuner is going to be a starting point

I should've mentioned I already have a Pro Cal tuner, a bigger intercooler, and exhaust, just looking for the best cold air intake to help the engine breathe a little better and help out the low-end torque due to me having heavy tires with the 3.73 gearing for the diffs. A little extra MPG wouldn't hurt either if that actually does help.

Does anyone have the Corsa intake? Thoughts between that and S&B?

Corsa/Volant, whatever ya call it, love mine. Actually as I got nothing to do tonight, I'm gonna take mine out later, properly wash it out and air dry it so tomorrow it's all set to go.

I just wanted something I didn't need to disassemble everything to get the cone out, its just the lid and the hose clamp that need to come out, definitely not rocket science here

Whatever you do, don't get ripped out with Roush, it's an overpriced lid and a kn filter, can DIY for a fraction of the cost
