It looks like you need to unbolt everything, lay that short bolt on its side along the overlong measurement of the opening, and let it drop in from the inside (between bar uprights), and then line up the holes with the mod bumper at the same time.

Can we get a video of you trying that?

Your choice of arrow colours are very Canadian of you. Looks like some forum members are rubbing off on you…

I hear that every date night
... as I waddle past the salad bar at the Sizzler all-you-can-eat buffet and squeeze between the pasta line and prime rib for my 4th plate.

Understood, it’s always tougher to rectify this kind of issue indirectly but I promise you we will make this right for you.

To the best of my knowledge we’ve never run into this before.

I’d hate to ask you to do one more thing but can you please send me your name phone number and address either by DM here or to [email protected]?

I just want to be sure we are sending any replacement parts to the proper address.
I have this bar. It’s a good product. The trick is you install the short screws first by putting them through the mounting bracket while the mounting bracket is lifted up off the bumper a little bit. Then you tighten them, which closes the gap between the mounting bracket and the bumper.

It’s been tried. I even paid a shop $$$ and drove hours in traffic. No video coming soon sadly. I’m too busy working
The hole is elongated in the direction that @Squatch said it should go in. I'm pretty sure if the bar was off, physically off the bumper, and you put the bolt in the way he said it should go in.

Second mistake was Off Road Warehouse
Did you have a bad experience or care to share?

I have several products from Turn including the hardtop. Had some minor issues. When I called I spoke with Todd who has been running the forum chats here. He answered on 1 ring, and I had my replacement part within 48 hours, and this was on Black Friday. Would say an easy 5 stars from my end on product and customer service.

Just curious given a public forum.

I can vouch for CJ Pony. I bought the headlocks for a badlands and the color didn’t quite match what I thought I saw online. In the end, They sent me a shipping label to return them, but it took a few phone calls and exchange of photos of the item versus what I saw on the website, but in the end they made it right.

Took some pics of the bolts

Driver side

You can see that the only way that bolt has clearance to turn is to be fully inserted before you can turn it.
Passenger side, you can see washer is up un weld.

Like others are saying, id try it again, first inserting bolt from the side, then in.

Besides, to put another bar on you are going to have to remove that one. So just do try it before they need to ship another bar

Yup, times like that you may have to end up screwing the other way and put a nut on the backside.
I would totally try this as well. I haven't done it, but you should have access to the rivet nut from under the bumper

OK. If you got it on there with such tight parameters, I feel I should be able to also. I will try it tomorrow night. I’ll upload pictures. I’ll know pretty quickly if I can’t get the bolts off, or the bolt in there to start.

plus any replacement guard will just have the same issue. My goal is to get it on there securely with all holes bolted. I don’t actually want a new guard.
