THere's a new set of the BL suspension for sale locally for $500. Is that a good price?

As in new in the box? If so, not a bad price but don't forget the rears have an active recall. Recalls are tied to your VIN so they wouldn't be covered if you had an issue.

Not out of the box, it looks like the guy who posted them works at a dealership. Next dumb question, is there different versions for 2 dr and 4 dr?

Depends on what new means. Takeoffs after only a few miles? Is it a 2024/2025? There's a new rear shock design that fixes a flaw in the rear that I think started getting used mid-2024 that Ford is doing a recall on; if they're the old style, I'd say probably not at $500, especially if you're somewhere you get a lot of corrosion from salt water. I'd still probably say it's a little high, but I'm not checking the market, just want to say I've seen Fox takeoffs for around that.

And yes, the 4dr is setup for more weight.

Yes, different for 2dr/4dr as well as 2.3/2.7

I didn't know about the 2.3/2.7 difference. Is that because the engines weigh different amounts?
Yes...somewhere there's a thread w/ the various part numbers. If I remember correctly they may also vary w/ or w/o tow.

To my knowledge there are separate shocks and rear springs for 2 and 4 door, then separate front springs for 2.3/2.7 AND 2/4-door.
I am trying to offload my old Badlands suspension (not subject to recall) in Texas for a 2.3L/2dr. Probably way too far out for you, but I do think you can probably find BL suspension for less than that if you wait and search around. Takeoffs come up fairly regularly as people install lifts.

e: Here's the thread with suspension part numbers, so you can see what matches: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ide-lift-heights-with-wheel-tire-sizes.17719/

If you’re interested I have a set of take offs from my 2021, 2 door with a 2.7L. Approximately 10,000 miles. I have kept our Bronco under coated with Lanolin based coating. You would need to use your retainer caps.
You can have them if interested just pay shipping
