Badlands Question

I am planning on buying a 2026 badlands wildtrak pkg and I was wondering if it is worth the extra money to go from MID equipment grp to Lux equipment grp?

I have ‘25 Badlands + Lux with the Sasquatch pkg and HOSS 3.0 . Basically the wild track pkg. love it. My only ‘regret’ was getting the leather seats. This automatically gets you the carpet and removes the vinyl floor. Since the leather seats are powered, and not waterproof, they assume you want carpeting. I’m going to get the third-party flooring and remove the carpet. Not a huge deal but I wish I had known what else was included with those seats. Lux package is great (or it was on the ‘25s).

For some strange reason 2-Door's don't get power seats even with Lux package.

I have a ‘25 BL/SAS/Hoss 3.0/2DR … no leather seats (didn’t want), no power seats (don’t need, I’m the only driver 99% of the time). And, funny: I’m constantly surprised by the amount of whining about power seats here — if you’ve ever had to actually wash out the floors of a muddy rig you’d get why power under the seats is probably not a great idea.

I don’t remember the exact features that made me go Lux, but I think it was the 360 cameras, which are amazing and which I use everyday. Heated seats and heated steering wheel means I haven’t turned on my heat once during the mountain winter. B&O 12-speaker stereo is good (not amazing, but good). I can’t remember what else was part of Lux but those three features I’m very fond of and I’d dearly miss them if they were gone.

I got the Lux package on my WT really just for the Radio upgrade and the Wireless Charger. Over time, I have found that I don't use the Wireless charger at all. Depending on your wants and desires, you may be OK with the Mid Package.

OP, being in Michigan, you might be happy to have the heated steering wheel. The heated seats are great, too... though for some reason the back seats were neglected (!?).

For me, my decision took into account that this was going to be a "planned/targeted" purchase. I wanted this vehicle, and specifically was not interested in most other vehicles available at the time. I don't plan to sell it soon, and I don't plan to buy another vehicle for me for quite a while. If this were more of a utilitarian take-it-or-leave-it purchase, I would have foregone Lux.

Others have said, and I concur, to get the MGV seats, not the leather. For an extra couple grand, you lose the wash-down interior. The MGV is easy to clean, comfortable, and looks good.

I am very happy without even the mid package on my big bend…the only thing that might be nice is the 369 camera but from what I hear it can’t be used at higher speeds/modes so like a lot of the features the computer nannies make them less useful…I got a cheap camera and screen that works fine to see over the hood all the time…the base heater - A/C work fine and none of the audio systems are any good to begin with…the other stuff are just creature features I don’t care about but From all the chatter here I guess a lot of folks do…if ya are one of them go for it…

The MY25 B&O upgrade is different. It doesn’t satisfy those looking for a block-party system, but you’re describing it, umm, unfairly, let’s say.

We ordered a '25 Badlands Sasquatch w/ Lux and HOSS 3.0. Got the employee pricing when that was offered last summer. Over my wife's objections we went with the washout interior (she really wanted leather and power seats). To me, this is the perfect spec. This may be an unpopular take, but to me the Raptor is just too wide and the styling is . . . a lot. The HOSS 3.0 is great, and we really like the Lux features. She has adapted to non-power seats and actually appreciates the washout interior now (we have kids and a dog). If you can lock in employee pricing it feels like a good "deal."

Badlands Lux…..I never owned a vehicle with a heated steering wheel and used to give my wife a hard time when she required gloves to drive in the winter. Now that I have the heated wheel in my Bronco I think it should be considered cruel and unusual punishment to not make it a standard. When we also bought our Bronco Sport we went with the BL trim and lux…heated steering wheel for the win. BTW, the heated seats in the Bronco are apparently nuclear powered. Unless you are wearing asbestos underwear you won’t leave the seat heaters on for any extended time.

I originally wanted the mid package, but wound up buying dealer inventory instead of a custom order. I found one on a lot that was _almost_ a 100% match to what I'd been planning to order. The only downside in my mind was that it came with the lux package and I thought that was just stuff I didn't want that would break. Thankfully it didn't have leather, which would have been a deal breaker for me. I really like the vinyl.

I'm actually _really_ glad I have the lux package.

The 360 cameras are _incredibly_ useful. I spend a lot of time on tight trails and often solo without a spotter. They're really damned helpful. And even if you get mud on them, you can wipe off the side ones with your hand just by reaching out the window.

The sound system is honestly a nice upgrade. The sound is always going to be sub-optimal with a removable-top vehicle. The B&O system makes up for that in a lot of ways that the standard system doesn't i.m.o.

It's also cold enough here that I really l like the heated steering wheel more than I thought I would. Especially driving with the top down when it's a touch chilly, but I still want it down.

I have a 2 door, so no power seats, and I'm happy about that. I get a lot of dust and mud inside at times, and power seats add a lot of complexity in what gets the dirtiest. I'm happy with the manual seats. My wife and I both drive it, but the adjustment is easy.

I can't remember if adaptive cruse control is bundled with lux or not, but I also think that's worth it. At least for me, my winch doesn't interfere with it, and I'm used to having it. So I definitely would miss it if it weren't there.

Lux and leather seats are 2 different options.

So any extra 2800 adds roughly 50-70 to your monthly payment. Consider these are quality of life improvements and you won’t be able to or not easily upgraded later. Yes you can upgrade the stereo but the B@O adds additional speakers you won’t get otherwise.

I got lux and leather and wouldn’t go back - but this is a personal decision.

You sound similar to me and basically the same Bronco even down to the green.

The Lux pack for the cameras alone make it a worthy upgrade for off-roading. The Front camera is more of a nice to have, but the side view is great for tight trails.

Also, the vinyl and washout floor is a great combo. Went wheeling on Sunday and got in a lot more mud than I wanted too, the splash inside the windows got all over the seats and other spots. I also tracked in smelly mud, so just removed my heavy duty liner, hosed it off, then took the hose to my floorboard, opened the drain, and everything was clean in minutes. Can’t do any of this easily with carpet, so they can keep that.

Don’t care for power seats in this thing either. In 3 years of off-roading, no electronic issues other than the hood latch sensor, but that has nothing to do with the Lux pack. Bronco can take a lot of jarring and rock crawling with ease. Very durable build.
