No. You don’t have Hoss 3.0

People just call it the Hoss 3.0 rack because the Wildtrak originally had it packaged with it’s Hoss 3.0

Realistically it’s just called the severe duty rack, and that’s all you got.
Everything else from the Hoss 3.0 package was Wildtrak only.
Well, something is better than nothing. Seems like the biggest fear people have with the Bronco is the steering rack.

Yeah I mean realistically the only other part of Hoss 3.0 that the Wildtrak had alone for 24MY was the Fox shocks like @MNBigfoot mentioned earlier.

Thanks for the info Ducati1098...now I can drop down to the BD that suits my taste better and get the steer rack I wanted vs buying the WT to get it.

‘25 Badlands with HOSS 3.0

I put the sway bar disconnect on my Wildtrak after I got it. With pre 25 badlands you could just as easily put a fox suspension on it. Aside from that it mostly comes down to wash out interior vs carpet, ease of cleaning vs road noise. There’s also sport mode for the Wildtrak vs rock crawl for badlands. The goat modes can be added later in forscan though.

No carpet preferred, living in the SE, baja mode definitely not needed, lol...knowing now that the 3.0 rack is standard with the SAS pkg, i will look for a BD 1st, BL 2nd, just because the BD with the mid and SAS pkg is my ideal build.

Wildtrak has nicer interior but the front swaybar is static.

swapping the sway bar is not impossible if you need it.

It depends on whether you want the sway bar disconnect. In 2024, that's really the difference outside the Fox vs Bilstein shocks. Oh, and the BL has full plates and the WT does not. So if you're going to customize those things (shocks/plates) or eliminate the electronic sway bar disconnect for some reason (like a torsion bar), I'd go BL.

Also consider non-Sas BL.

Really, you can't go wrong per se, but if you plan on going on 4-7 trails, you'll want plates of course. The BL also comes stock with pretty decent rock rails, while the WT generally has big non-rock slide steps. Also, I guess you could also get the 2.3L in the BL, too (and manual with crawler gear is BL and not WT).

And don't get too hornswoggled on the standard duty vs heavy duty steering racks. However, in 2024 as Ducati said, it's a non-issue, they're both the same.

IMO, these are decisions you have to make for yourself. The WT is "easier" to customize, the BL is more ready to rock (pun intended) at purchase but updating is a little more work or costs money again to undo (like changing plates or rock rails).

Small point, you could option full skid plates for the Wildtrak and the only factory plate that it didn’t include, afaik, is the bash plate for the sway bar, which also covers the front part of the transmission pan. I paid ~ $150 and put the ford sway bar skid plate on when I installed the ford electronic disconnecting sway bar.

V6 is a must....probably only mods I will ever do would be good rock rails, winch, leveling kit and real 35's...I have a Turbo S rzr on 35's for doing crazy rock crawling trails.

v6 shouldn’t be a must. The power output between the two isn’t much different. I have a v6 and it’s only because it’s what was available.

For when I tow my rzr, that v6 will be a definite must.

As mentioned the the BL and every model year 24 Sas Bronco has the 3.0 rack. With the WT all you are getting is shocks.
Do you happen to know if the Heritage Limited also gets the 3.0 rack since it's based on a BL?

If you are going to rock crawl, get the Badlands. Otherwise, you’re just splitting hairs.

You obviously have not looked at the torque numbers or a dyno sheet.
