@LSW Just read an article on Mount Spurr just now, that's some crazy shit. I hope they're able to keep the monitoring agency and equipment up and running to give people some heads up if they want to get clear of the area all together.

Mt Spurr. I've had the same concerns. I've ridden out a couple other Volcanic ash fall-outs in the past.
I'm keeping the Bronc in the garage and driving my 4Runner. Panty hose has been the gold standard that we've used in the past. Regardless of what they say in the lesser 48. But to be fair those were Holley 650 double pumper days.
And DON'T use your wipers. That stuff will eat up your glass.

Ya'll are giving some real good advice. But gotta say when I saw " There is an impending volcanic eruption where I live", I read " the world is coming to an end should I : 1. Prep my Bronco for long term storage so if humanity survives someone will have a nice rig 2. Screw it, leave it out to rot. 3. Sell it and use the money for one more fling, wine women and song before the end?

Triggered a core memory. I was attending a Jimmy Buffett concert. It's to be expected to see some wild and outlandish hats by Parrottheads. One guy had a Styrofoam cooler (the type you get at the grocery store above the cases of beer) that he was wearing as a hat. Based on the weave of his gait, I would presume he finished the contents before stuffing the cooler on his head. On the side was scribbled, "Cooler Heads Will Prevail".
