The below video in the link (that someone already reposted earlier in this thread) tells you everything you need to know as far as getting the boot off removing the original lockout and installing the new. You can ignore all of Tim's video about replacing the boot and his sewing skills.

Pretty happy with the results! Did the Redline goods shift boot as well. Definately a tight fit with the lack of flex in the new metal lockout lever where the lever, leather boot, and housing are snapped back in place, but a little trimming and a rubber mallet did the trickMax it is super simple.
