Our Bronco is a 2021 Outer Banks model with the Sasquatch suspension package but I would like to lift it about 5 inches. Any recommendations?

How much money are you looking to spend?

There's lifting it just for looks, and then there's lifting it while trying to keep stuff from breaking early, and there are shades of gray between those two extremes. Cost and equipment needed are vastly different.

Brian has asked the best first question. Keep in mind that's a craddle drop kit. So some existing skids (depending on what you may have) will not fit. Once installed, you will see the craddle from the front, as it will be lower than existing.

Are you looking to fit bigger tires? Are you looking for more overall clearance?

Cheap "lift kits" are,...well, CHEAP (made cheaply). They are made for "looks" and look horrible.

You can run 37s with a 1.5-2" lift on your Sasquatch (they won't even rub if you get some wheel spacers and do some work on your inner fenders). Running anything bigger than 37s on stock axles is HIGHLY recommended against. You will break, YOU WILL BREAK.

At 5-7" of lift, your center of gravity is compromised and I, honestly, wouldn't drive at highway speeds. One big swerve to miss something and you're doing cartwheels at 70MPH.

The best route is limited suspension lift 1-2" max to retain ride quality, IFS suspension travel (extension mostly) and not wear our CVs.

Heads up! The forum hates drop bracket lifts. But it truly is the best way to achieve "good" geometry with factory CV and tie rod angles with greater than 3" lift. I'd do this before Portal axles.

Look at higher quality options as Rough Country is mostly junk.

Belltech probably has the best componentry. I especially like the frame mount track bar drop (by far the best solution - compared to raising the axle end). They have a ton of bling. But parts look solid.

Buying a "complete" kit with tuned shocks is the best idea as they will have dialed in the wheel travel to function properly.

Engage forum hate posts... haha

Cost, quality, off roading? Too many unanswered variables. If you are just starting to look at this, do what I did > scower this sight for hours and hours, then second guess every decision you make. Then one day just pull the plug and buy something. Tjhen realize this will start a cascade of costly choices that will ultimately lead you into a world off off-roading you do not know even exists today.

It will be fun! I haven't posted on my new rig yet, but will soon once I get updated pics. I'm glad I went big (38", new suspension, body lift, spacers, etc). Good luck.

My man, you been smokin crack...

Portals have 1 major drawback, they cost a fortune. Portals are 1000 times better than a drop bracket lift (that actually gives you ZERO percent more ground clearance). Sure you can fit bigger tires, just so you can break your stock axles).

CRACK.

There are more drawbacks than just cost…😳

No other major drawbacks.

Also, context is important, "VS other large lifts" is implied, so changes in COG is implied.

Sure it's more maintenance, but that's not the end of the world. With a good race proven company like 74Weld you don't really have to worry about max speed use issues, no different then re-gearing. The ratio is 1.22, sure you're gonna be a little low geared if you start with a SAS at 4.70, it'll put you around 5.73. You could always re-gear to drop back down a bit. The 74Weld kit is fully compatible with Bronco ABS system.
