45 PSI Tire Pressure too high?

Just a quick question regrading tire pressure. When I made delivery of my Bronco the tire pressure was set at 45 psi. I think that might be high. Should I be concerned?

Just lower it down and enjoy.
They probably never lowered the pressure during the PDI like they were supposed to.

Broncos are typically shipped at higher tire pressure. Reduce it to 39 or whatever your door jam sticker says. The dealer should have done this in prep.

It's fine, but you can lower it. I'll admit I had mine at 45 PSI during my 10 hour road trip to Michigan last week for that sweet sweet 23.8 MPG.

Anyway, it's common for tires to be overinflated slightly for shipping purposes. As everyone else said, it's something the dealership is supposed to correct during their pre-delivery inspection.

I run 42...I say anything between 37-42 is fine.

I'm running around 30 psi cold. I was running about 33-34 cold and it's starting to cup in the middle meaning the tire pressure is too high. I'm at 28k on stock SAS tires doing a 5 tire rotation every 5k miles.

Chalk test is really the only right answer here - whatever pressure gives you good, even contact.

Not to mention 2dr v 4, 2.3 v 2.7, steel bumpers v plastic, skid plates v none, etc. Etc.

45 PSI will cause excessive wear in the middle of the tire. You should at least lower it to whatever the door sticker recommends.

OBX stock I run at 35, but mine too was delivered with a crazy high pressure...
