2025 Manual Transmission Thread

I started that thread back in Jan 2022 and am amazed that it has that many posts, which is not a good thing, except for the fact it has become a resource for many people! While I love my manual, even after all the issues, I would probably not get it today knowing all the problems that people have had. Although you may be just be trading one issue for another with the 2.7. I would've hoped that Ford offered the 2.3 with an automatic but it has never happened.

Hold out for the manual, if you can. I’ve had a few problems but I’d do it all over again because it’s that awesome!

I ordered my 2025 Heritage Edition (Ruby Red Metallic) on 11/07/24. Received a text this morning, shipped 03/22/25.

The next few weeks will be critical and hopefully the 4/28 build week does not get pushed back again.

Our MT Badlands is scheduled for that week, but as a Canadian, 25% counter tariffs imposed by my government may derail the order. Either we will have to walk away because of cost OR Ford may delay/cancel a MT build destined for Canada, knowing dealers will ultimately be stuck with the loss.

Another option might be a '24 OBX with Lux, since if I recall correctly, all trims had washout flooring in '24.

I'm confused, why wouldn't you be able to get a 2.3 with an automatic? I have a BL Sas with auto and 2.3 on order now.

I'm confused, why wouldn't you be able to get a 2.3 with an automatic? I have a BL Sas with auto and 2.3 on order now.

In 2024 I dont think you couldve gotten a Badlands with a 2.3 auto. It may have changed for 2025. In 2021 when I bought mine you definitely could not.

yeah, there are definitely some weird things with ordering. When I was looking for mine, I noticed you couldnt get a 2024 black diamond 2 door with a manual and seat heater. could do an automatic 2 door with seat heaters, manual 4 door with seat heaters, auto 4 doors with seat heaters or 2 door badlands with a manual and seat heater. I thought it was really dumb

Hi all. New to posting here but have also been watching closely for a while. Similarly, I have a '25 2-door/Badlands/Sasquatch/Manual on order as of 12/14. I've only heard from FMC twice: once the day my order was received and again on the 45th day saying they are working on scheduling. ...starting to wonder if they'll actually build it as configured. It's been fun watching and reading about other owners experiences and builds. I'll just sit back and wait patiently longer to see what becomes of it - and keep playing with my 1G

For reference, I have the same on order except with the automatic and my build date it 3-31. I ordered at the end of January.

I think the thread about Ford’s unannounced switch to a new 2.3 liter direct injection engine in 2025 is the source of the 7MT delays. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2024-vs-2025-2-3l-changes.111219/unread

Apparently a 2025 Mustang with the 2.3 no longer has the MT option. I’m guessing that Ford has some engineering that needs to be resolved before they build 2025 Broncos with the 7MT.

Despite ordering early November, mine isn't scheduled. I'm hoping the 4/28 builds go on schedule as maybe I can get into the 2nd batch of manuals but if those dates get pushed back, one has to wonder how many 2025 manual transmission Bronco's will be build. I'm considering switching to the automatic but I don't know if I want to settle.

As of 6:35p.m. EST today I ordered a 2-door Bronco Badlands. 2.3 liter/7-speed manual transmission. Sasquatch pkg/H.O.S.S. 3.0 pkg. Lux pkg. Marsh Gray with Black Appearance pkg. All of the bells whistles. Then, I found this thread. Holy crap! I had no idea! I'm in for the long haul. Waited 2 years for today. My last hurrah.
