V-6 Manual Transmission

Has your sister test driven the 2.3 manual. If not, she should. It's like 30 HP less. I pull a 3500 Lb. trailer with no problem.

It should be noted here that with the Ford Performance ProCal4 tune, the horsepower jumps to 330, and the torque to approximately 385. My 2.3L 7MT 2-door does 0-60 a tick above 6 seconds. The manual is noisy (but then again so is the 10-speed auto). I really like mine.

10/25 Update: Going with a K&N intake, a Flowmaster American Thunder axleback exhaust and a rear seat delete, on paper I'm over 350HP, and I'm well into the 5 second range 0-60 with the 4 cylinder. Unless the Jeep has a 392 V8, there is no stock Jeep out there with performance numbers like that.

Yeah, I think that's what he meant too.
I also have the 2.3 MT and I love it. From test drives I did before ordering mine, I can say the MT feels more responsive than the auto -- well, certainly more fun and engaging.
But as for tracking my times on the 1/4 mile, I think I need to use a calendar.

Yes, I meant zero to 60. If the Bronco could do the quarter in 6 seconds I'd be wrapped around a telephone pole.

Because I live in CO and being at a much higher elevation compared to sea level, I opted for the v6 for more power. Its insane the power loss in vehicles once you get to 8-10k feet elevation... If I was still around sea level, I would have opted for the 4cyl with the manual transmission. Alot of people have been very happy with the power for what it is and the transmission shifts nicely. I hear its more like a sports car shifter not a sloppy long throw like you except from a manual truck.

Well, I'll be picking up my 7MT in a couple of weeks or so. Since I get up to 10K and occasionally 11K here in CA we'll see how it performs. We don't have any motorized trails open for public use over 12K to my knowledge.
