And to think my mother and father were able to stuff us five kids in a ‘57 two door Ford. Granted, there were no seat belts and it was before car seats, but four of us fit fine in the back seat and getting in and out was no issue. Of course it was more fun to get in and out with the top down!

Just wait until GM releases that 4 door Corvette to make it financially feasible to produce!
That's their halo car big difference. But the sales from the base corvette make it financially feasible to do the Z06.

Back when Broncos were rare and commanding $5-10K, manuals would sit on lots and advertised at sticker.

I know these forums love manuals and 2 doors but the general public wants MOAR-door mommy wagons lol.

This popped into my YT feed today.

Back then was also the time when Getrag was being dragged through the noisy, shuddering mud over the grinding clutch plates. The overall supply and quality-blocking issues (dirt mountain, then ice mountain) made deliveries on orders of *anything* a frustrating waiting game, and especially for the low-volume manuals. I think that set the tone, and many people like me shied off the whole concept permanently.

But I agree, mall rats is where the money lives, locally I think we're deeply biased four door vs two.

If we're being honest, Ford owns the trademarks, And Bronco and Mustang are whatever they say they are. Just be thankful you don't have to defend the Chevy Blazer
I was in my new 2024 Bronco the other day and pulled up behind a "Blazer". That's plain WRONG disgracing the nameplate by slapping it on some FWD based mommie-mobile grocery getter. I feel bad for the Chevy boys........I really do.

Like someone else said, I am SO HAPPY that Ford produces the Bronco in a 2 door / manual combination. I would have loved a V6, but the manual was much more important.

If Ford was serious about making Broncos the unquestionable choice, they'd combine the V-8 (since they're the last ones making v-8s) with a manual transmission in the Bronco just to seal the deal entirely. I enjoy my '24 BB manual with almost 8000 miles, but a V8 Bronco in manual....Pay attention Ford. It's the only other new machine I'll buy.

If mine was not a 2-dr with a stick, I would not own a Bronco.
Ditto for me too!! I traveled out of state to get the exact 2-dr, manual transmission model I wanted. Price was a consideration, but not as important as the combination I wanted.

I just saw the specs and new colors for the 2025 Broncos. Aside from the Stroppe Edition, it looks like 2-door Broncos are eventually going the way of the dinosaurs. No 2-door Heritage Editions????? Two new colors are bland as hell. Desert Sand and Marsh Gray don’t exactly jump out at you. I understand that the 4-doors outsell the 2-doors by a ton. But it’s not as though Ford has to re-tool anything to keep the 2-door option. What are they thinking?
That would be VERY sad as the 2 door is the only model that really resembles the OG. Thankful for my 2 door FE.

The dropping of 2 doors across all makes and many models ensures that the remaining 2 doors will be even more unique. GOOD! Let the masses have their 4 doors, they'll never get me to buy one!

I see this posted many times. Last time I checked the Bronco was only a 2DR until the 6G. So technically there would be NO 4DR Bronco today without the achievements of the 2DR Bronco of the past.

😁
If not for the 2dr BRONCOS, you'd have an Explorer or Expedition and by god you'd love it...

Last time I checked Granger Ford had a couple of 2 Door Heritage Broncos. Both 2.7 with manual teans.
Not sure that is correct considering the 2.7 isn’t mated to the manual transmission.

Edit: Just checked the Granger website. One 2 Door Heritage Limited and one 2 Door Heritage Edition. Both with 2.7 V6 and automatic transmission.

You're right. I appreciate the correction. I was thinking the manual 2 doors are even harder to find.

My wife has a 22 Exploder Timberline. :cautious: Traded her 13 Exploder for it. 🙄

And for the record I HATE IT!!!! :cautious: Damn dial for the gear selector. Takes forever to switch gears. Back up camera is in and out. Back up sensors act up all the time.
