It's likely either in the latch (where it locks) or the pneumatic arm on the back gate. It won't take long to ascertain which.

If Ford was serious about making Broncos the unquestionable choice, they'd combine the V-8 (since they're the last ones making v-8s) with a manual transmission in the Bronco just to seal the deal entirely. I enjoy my '24 BB manual with almost 8000 miles, but a V8 Bronco in manual....Pay...

I know I'm showing my age (Gen X), but that's why it's easier to do your own oil changes and tire rotations. You definitely know it's done right when it's your hand on both the wrench and the steering wheel.

Welcome sir. You'll definitely learn a lot from the group on here. Some of these guys know more about Broncos than Ford. 7900 miles on my '24 BB and nothing crazy so far. Hopefully you have a similar experience with yours.

Give em hell, guy, give em hell! The manual Broncos, despite being exponentially slower than Mustangs are so much more fun just because you can go places they can't and still have to shift gears and use skills. It's beautiful.

That's true. Like you, the 2.7 in my '16 F-150 has been an excellent engine. I'd rather spend $10,000 in a preventative maintenance overhaul of the '16 in 10 years (to add another 200,000 miles) than buy a different machine. In full disclaimer, my 2.7 is mated to a 6-speed transmission (auto)...

You wouldn't think Ford would jack with them too much since they were powerful and efficient (for their size), but Ford did go to a 10-speed automatic transmission from the 6-speed with minimal benefit, so .....
