Hello everyone, new here! I’m guessing the news below isn’t news for the most knowledgeable here, but thought I’d post for people like me—who are just considering pulling the trigger on their first Bronco! I just ordered mine this week—2DR BadlandsSAS.
I’m very happy to get under the wire with a 2DR (I’m an empty nester and greatly prefer them aesthetically). But as widely noted here, there are *interesting* limitations to one’s options in MY25, but some perks as well in the Badlands build.
The big changes that surprised me (because you get no help from the 2024 build configurator on the website) as follows:
1. (Bad? Maybe?) No 2.7L available for a 2DR! (except Stroppe) This even confused the young sales guy I was working with ar, who hadn’t yet memorized the 500 different trim level options and MY25 changes. My reading a couple 25-page threads here about the pros/cons of the 2.3 vs the 2.7 set my mind at ease however. I’m not going to be towing or weighing down my build, so the 2.3 should be fine.
2) Good, probably: The brakes on BL are now EBB not vacuum, which seems to be what everyone prefers. Pleasant surprise.
3) Good, definitely: The HOSS 3.0 Fox shocks package now available as an option on BL (not sure if this was the case before, but I think not).
4) Good, absolutely: The full Raptor-style digital console now standard across all trims, which = a big reason why I wanted MY25. I’m a retired designer who’s worked on a lot of UI projects and the previous console was a mess, IMHO. If I’m going to have to look at a digital display every third second I’m in the vehicle, it has to be not headache inducing.
