2024 Hard Top Cracking

I just noticed 2 small cracks around the rear side window of our 2024 Badlands Sasquatch hard top. 9000 miles. Should I start the warranty process now or wait until closer to the 3 yr/36000 mile timeframe? Any advice appreciated!

Honestly, I'd wait until there's another problem to take it in. Although when I had my top replaced all they did was come out and take pictures to submit to ford for approval of a replacement top.

Your call, but it's a good opportunity to watch the cracks, and see if they get worse, or more form. You still have plenty of warranty time/miles left to monitor the situation, and also allow more time for a better potential fix from Ford (wishful thinking, I know.... )

to the MIC tops. both 2 door and 4 door. painted tops seems to be ok

Then I guess I guess I should give mine a close look, not painted.

Cracks usually show up around the windows / hinges for the back glass

absolutely start the process now.....I started my claim @ 35k. I am now @ 38k and still working thru the process. What should be a very simple process has turned out to be anything but simple.

... but if you had waited until just before the warranty expired my bet is it would have been your only replacement.

This!!!! I would not wait. You bought a vehicle where every reasonable and sane person believes their roof should last at least like the rest of the body. The cracks start no matter what Intervention the owner does, when they do start. I just had mine replaced 2 weeks ago and would go in tomorrow if the slightest blemish appears.

I would do it now; you might need another one down the road. I had mine replaced twice.
