I was able to remove the double honk and keep the fog lights on with the hi-beams on my 2022 Badlands. Just couldn't add Sport mode.
Hello,
I am wanting to change the exact same codes (double honk and keep the fog lights on with the hi-beams). What OBD Adapter did you use and not sure where these codes are. I have a 2022 Badlands not Squatched 2DR, MIC, 2.7, Auto, High, Carbonized Gray. Reserved 7/14/20 Built 1/12/22 Received 1/21/22
Thanks, Bob

Does anyone know if you can adjust the speedometer to account for larger tires using Forscan still?

Sorry if this has been answered already. I did some searching but could not find a concrete answer for MY 2022.

I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N18TOFB/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_5UOZ64cxVIPZt

The double honk and hi beams are in the Body Control Module (BdyCM) section and are English, readable settings. Easy to enable/disable

Is there a Ford graveyard that we can visit, where they keep all the dead bodies that shared information with this forum?
Ya, seriously... Maybe I should get a job at Ford... It's better than most witness protection programs. LOL.

If it’s used to add capabilities and features that others have paid for then no. And if the owner of the proprietary code determines they don’t want to give it away for free, then I respect their decision. Finding a way around it after Ford has shut it down is stealing. So, as I said……let your conscience be your guide. And I guess if you bought an IPhone and can figure out a way to access all their content (music/Movies, etc.,) like some 2-bit freeloader, then have at it, but don’t have the nerve to whine about it when Apple discovers the unauthorized access and shuts it down.
Speaking strictly about adding Sport mode. No one has paid for Sport Mode. It’s standard on the base trim without adding any additional packages or features. Adding it to the top trim level is not adding something that others have paid for. It’s not a feature ford considers premium whatsoever. It really is just an oversight for Ford to have left it off of Badlands and FE. I honestly think the decision was made based solely on the idea that having 8 goat modes would overcrowd the ui. I’d be willing to bet that if adding sport mode to badlands or first edition was the extent of theses Forscan threads, Ford would have never even bothered blocking any of it. It was when people with base or lower trim levels started to add modes and features that their vehicle doesn’t even have the hardware to support that killed it. There has been examples of people trying to add features that they indeed did not pay for, but adding sport mode to badlands or fe does not fall into that category.

Pretty sure they didn’t just forget to add It. If they did, they’ve had plenty of time to correct their error. Each trim listed exactly what was included with respect to GOAT modes. But Ford unlocks it and allows access for MY22 then they obviously don’t care, and all is well.

I may have worded it wrong saying oversight. I don’t think they forgot it. I truly believe they left it off to not overcrowd the screen with 8 modes. I think they just have a problem with people adding modes and features without hardware to support it. Will be interesting to see if becomes an option again.

I had a feeling this would get killed when people started tagging the official Ford account in posts about it lol.

hopefully Forscan finds a way around it.
Well, even worse is that we have lost access to the PTI information that used to be freely available on ETIS. There may be a work around, but now people are going to not discuss it publicly for fear of it being taken away too.

I would encourage everyone to copy and backup ANY data they do get along the way. Imagine if AsBuilt data was no longer available? As others have noted, some posts and spreadsheets have disappeared.

This was valuable information for those who really enjoyed the ability to build exactly the Bronco that they wanted. It made it possible to compromise on a trim without having to sacrifice capability.

I do think that it's funny if you consider alternative ways to achieve similar outcomes. For example, the Badlands owner who wanted Sport mode but wanted the MGV interior or the OBX owner who wanted Rock Crawl mode with carpeting and cloth seats. Some people think that enabling the missing mode is wrong, but the same people would never bitch about replacing the MGV interior with carpet and cloth seats in a Badlands or putting an MGV interior into the OBX?

Agreed! I would agree with them if you could purchase sport mode for Badlands or Rock crawl for Wildtrak. But since you can’t i don’t have a problem with forscan. If it was available for purchase I sure would just buy it and avoid any potential warranty issues.

throw us a bone Ford. Look at the all the delays and crap we’ve had to deal with. Can you give us an option to pay to have more GOAT modes that aren’t limited by hardware on our trims? Would be a glimmer of light in this delay ridden launch

Prob Just need to wait for a Forscan update , this periodically will happen with new vehicles.
Yep, this happed to the f150s several times...no big deal the code is just changed as the truck is modernized and new features are added , new code is added. The ”old” 2021 character that needs changed is just a different unknown one....thats all folks.

The D2Hanover part is far more concerning to me as I've seen others 86ed from this site as well...and the powers that start, create and run these forums for automobiles and others things are just like every other information gathering xxxxxx. Bla bla bla...I won't even type what I know. Just be careful on here and be aware the folks with the most power and controll, are also pulling the strings.
