I'm looking at a 2022 Bronco Base with the 7 speed and a little over 20K miles. I've previously owned a 2023 Badlands 4dr and it was generally very reliable (with a couple of exceptions). Wondering what actual owners have experienced in reliability of the 2.3 engine and the 7 speed. Thanks in advance.

I'm only at 21k on my '21 4dr, 2.3, 7MT...other than the 7MT rattle in cold temps below 50deg, it's been reliable and much fun...zero complaints.

I would buy another one if something happened to mine, same build. Reading all the complaints on here made me scared something would happen, but it never did. Now I just enjoy it

There is a section specific to the 2.3L here and I would also recommend you read the issues section too. Ours is a toy with only 11k miles after 2.5 years and I was aware of the potential issues before buying. If this will be a daily driver for you, make sure you accept and understand the potential risks.

2022 Bronco Badlands 2dr with 2.3 and 7MT here. I have 45k miles on mine and the only issue with the drivetrain so far has been the tumbling noise when it's cold. I had the TSB performed by my local dealership under warranty and it has been dead quite for the last 8k miles. No regrets whatsoever.

2022 Bronco... 2.3L / 7sp. No problems.

I did have the grinding noise, same one @BroncoEnvy just mentioned. But after a 300-page forum thread on the issue... I think it's safe to say that it's simply a noise that occurs after the metals shrink a bit when cold. (@Ducati1098 spends a lot more time on that thread than I do though, so he can chime in if something has changed.)

If... say... a meteor smashed my Bronco into a billion pieces, I would have no problems buying another one. (I shall now find some wood to knock on.)

2023 Base 2 door manual here with around 30K miles, daily driven. I had the transmission rattle but dealer fixed it under warranty. I really enjoy the manual.

No issues.
Trans BARELY makes any noise when cold.
Fun vehicle to have.
Gets many looks and comments when I have the 35's on it.

Thanks. I'll look over those sections.

That's the kind of thing that concerns me. Was that "tumbling" transmission noise covered by the drivetrain warranty? I'm sure the b-to-b warranty has expired on the one I'm looking at.

2022 Base 2DR M/T with around 25K.

I do have the cold rattle, but performance is great. M/T is the way to go in this type of vehicle and I’m more than pleased with mine. Next Bronco will also have M/T, as will any other one I buy fur my kids!

Drive train warranty is 60K/5year.

Yeah. I know how long the drivetrain warranty is. I just wanted to confirm that their "tumbling" issue was covered by that. I'm not familiar yet with that issue. Seems it should be since it appears to be internal to the trans.
