    For anyone interested https://www.clovis4x4.com/
  2. Sync 4 going away

Not sure what MY this will be effective - or how this impacts those of us stuck with Sync 4 and the long-promised Major Update to fix all the issues. Article mentions that it may not go into effect until as late as '28 (my guess would be to coincide with any major generational change)...
  3. My fix for interior sub trim rattle

Have a Kicker 8” 2 Ohm run by a Kenwood 802.5 - so about 300W give or take going back here Finally got back to see about some of the frequency related rattling, and it’s the cargo trim panel itself. Not sure if I have a missing/broken/loose clip or if the sub excursion is hitting on the panel...
  4. Looking for a welder/fabricator

Need to get some RSE brackets either modified or refabbed to work with a body lift (basically need them 3/4” shorter). Any either is or know/recommend a decent welder/fab guy (or gal)? Preferably in Central CA area but can travel a bit for good work. 4 brackets total, two of each type
  5. Nitto Ridge Grappler 38x11.5r17

Anyone try this? They popped up in my research today and I don’t know anything about them. I was aware of the Recon Grappler in 37x11.5
  6. RSE Steps + Body Lift?

Anyone done a body lift with Rock Slide Engineering steps? They have a bracket that slides under the washer for the mid body mounts. But with a body lift, the rest of the step is mounted to the body and you can't get the bracket on the lower part of the body mount any longer. Not sure if...
  7. Considering a DSP / LOC

So in my piecemeal audio upgrade journey... I have the standard radio package - non-B&O I've got Morel Tempo Ultra 4" in the dash, and 6.5" in the rear pods. I've got Infinity REF607 6.5" component in the kick (woofer only on crossover, no tweeter). I've got a Kicker 8" sub in the stock...
  8. Morel Tempo Ultra MkII in Dash

Anyone else running this in the dash? I went to put mine in, and the magnet is so wide/deep it hits on some stuff under the dash. I was able to make them fit with about a 1/4" spacer on the passenger, and a nearly 1/2" spacer on the driver's side. Not sure the grills are going to go back on...
  9. Battery SOC

So today, my power points decided to just shut off with the engine. I have them set to a 30 minute timer. I thought - I wonder what my battery SOC is? I had just done a very long road trip, and all of my trips are at least 40 miles round trip, so not a lot of short trips.. but with a power...
  10. Trail Advice - near Riverside

I live in Central CA, so not familiar with SoCal so much for offroad runs. I've got a friend who own's a F150 Raptor. He has a brother and uncle who do as well. None of them have really been offroad at all, but want to go. Most of what I do has been mountains/woods - not really done much in...
  11. Subwoofer Grills

A while back I had replaced the OEM sub with a 8" Kicker. I didn't do anything with the grill at the time though. Now, after a while, I'm thinking maybe I should have put in a larger grill - maybe that would help the trim rattle on hard hits? I know the JVC Stealthbox comes with a replacement...
  12. Decided to roll back to Factory - probably not a good idea

So after a couple of years of tinkering, and contining to see weird things with Sync and what not - I figured... you know, I've played around so much with Forscan over time, I've probably got some self-induced wonkiness going on. So I'll just spend a day, roll everything back to Factory, then...
  13. Phone Mount Recommendations

Ok, so there's a long story to this, but it boils down to - I'm looking for a phone mount. I have an old iPhone XS that I'm leaving in the truck more or less permanently now. There is a small phone holder area just below the shifter, but I'm wanting to free that up for my carry phone. I have...
  14. Saw this today

After watching that video on AT tire comparison from Tire Rack posted today, I was looking at Cooper stuff in a bit more detail. I saw this from a Goodyear auto service web site, made me chuckle a bit
  15. Latest squeaking location from cargo area

Just a PSA - took me a few weeks to track this one down. That bracket has two T35 bolts holding it on - easy to pull back and trim the plastic a bit. Pic was taken with the bolts loosened so I could get at the plastic

  18. Powertrain Malfunction / Service 4x4

So I'm a bit baffled A few weeks ago I was checking out some stuff on my rig for someone here - I had the entire rear end jacked up, and was watching the driveshafts as I spun the tires. While doing so, I got a Service Vehicle Soon - Check 4x4 message and the wrench. I spinning the wheels by...
  19. Tire swap - MT Baja Legend to Wildtrak/SAS takeoffs

Winter is coming. I've had the MT Baja Legend EXPs in 35x12.5R17 LR D since I got the Bronco. At around 41,500 miles right now. Tread is sitting at around 9-10 /32''s -- not bald, but definitely wearing. These tires have been great, except the snow. I don't know if it's the Bronco or the tire...
  20. Ford Warn package and Chinesium Mod bumper

So, I just finished the mechanical install of this - still need to wire it up, but wanted to say a couple of comments about the install when you have the not-so-official Mod Bumper. For the most part - there was only one real deviation from the installation instructions because I didn't have...
