Maybe the nextgen will have retractable glass with the wiper mounted on the gate. That makes more practical sense and more user friendly for the soft top.

The only drawback would be no rear wiper.

I would gladly trade some of this software and high tech in these vehicles for low tech and reliability. Personally I would go as far as crank windows and mechanical door locks on an off road vehicle.
