My wife and I each got one, her an Outer Banks with MIC top, me a Badlands with soft top. So that should show we don’t regret getting the first one.
The surprising thing is her hardtop is noisier than my soft top. With the info on this forum I know I can reduce the noise, but I shouldn’t have to.
No regrets, but disappointed in some of the design. Just venting a little about the software bugs. Infotainment center should be raised to top of dash level with the hero switches below it.
Definitely change the dash gauge layout with a retro gauge display. And full frame doors to avoid the...
Have the manual transmission so I’ve never changed the mode from “normal “. Have only used 4A on transfer case and it has been fine on snow packed and icy roads.
Never once has it felt squirrelly even at highway speed.
-17F with close to -50F windchill. Had the bronco plugged in outside and had no problem keeping the interior warm. I had added a sunscreen and put a heavy blanket between it and the soft top for wind noise. The added insulation sure didn’t hurt.
The rest of the vehicle was a little stiff getting...
I think I’ve seen just one 2 dr in the flesh, from a distance. We got two 4 drs for practicality but the more I think about it I would really like to get a 2 dr.
Tire balance can change after they’ve been driven awhile. I’ve heard of some folks not initially balancing their tires until they’ve been driven.
I optioned it. Used it several times last winter, a couple times this winter so far.
I just feel it’s easier on the vehicle and the quicker warmup time is nice.
Our temperature this morning was 0 and the bronco sat outside, plugged in as the wife’s new bronco was in the garage.
I most definitely heard transmission noise like rocks rolling around as I started it in neutral. Worst I’ve heard it. Before it was barely perceptible.
Part of my decision to get...
I’ve had it happen in the past, not the Bronco. But I should have known better.
Don’t run defrost as hot as it will go when it’s really cold or you have a build up of ice. That quick temperature change is more than the glass can take at times.
As in all things, moderation is the key.
Used to...
I’ve been thinking about adding a strip to the rear edge of the back doors. Build up of mud, snow and frozen slush on the rear wheel opening flare make me cringe if I have to open the back door. Not much clearance.
So far I’ve removed it by hand before opening but the day is coming it will be...
