Ducati1098:
As I wait for the new axle to come in.
I went back and reviewed the work shop manual you provided.
At section 8, installing the diff tube and half shaft as a whole, it did not mention the procedure off locking the cir-clip to differential.
Thats the part I need some clarity on.
I think it's just implied that the circlip needs to lock into the housing. Either way, there's only one way to check if it's in all the way and that is to check it lol

Hopefully the new CV shaft stub end is shorter.
I’ve seen a picture were the M210 & M190 are the same. That would suck if it was.
Keep your fingers crossed and thanks for the manual!
The CV part number you ordered is the same as you had, just a newer version of it. So I don't think that will make a difference.

You can just measure the one you have now and compare it to the picture @Snacktime posted.
If the stub shaft of the CV is the same as his picture, then buying a new CV shaft wont change anything.

You’re 100% right!!!
The new axle is the same as yesterday’s and same sub end in length. I installed the new one and same problem. It’s not reaching to the roller bearing in the tube, it’s just barely touching it. I beat the hell out of the intermediate shaft, hoping it would move inwards, but I still get the same results.

I’m thinking of using the 13 1/2” shaft, that 7/8s is the difference I need.

If I have in place the correct 14 3/8s shaft and CV axle, I don’t know where to go from here.
I really don’t want to take the tube back down and I’m already pounding on the shaft that’s in there now.
I lost on this!!!

Only thing that makes sense at this point is that the intermediate shaft you got was boxed incorrectly. It's honestly not that uncommon. I see it a lot at work.

Put the shorter one back in and try that.

One I’d have to say is that I appreciate you responding back so fast, because I really have no one to discuss this with. Thank you!
I called the place where I purchased the rig from and they didn’t replace the shaft.
So, I wonder why a M210 has a 13 1/2” shaft.
By the books the M210!has a 14 3/8s shaft which I’m using right now.

My vehicle is 23 Sasquatch, window invoice says
4.7 front and rear locker with 37” tires, so I must have a M210. What’s your thoughts?

Like I explained above, 13.5" is probably correct and you got the incorrect shaft in the correct box.
This also explains why the intermediate shaft snacktime posted a picture of was also 13.5

Finally was able to get all apart.
The picture shows both shafts side by side as a mock up with the cv axle in its proper position.
The black lines on the yellow tape represent the flange of the differential.
As you can see if the longer shaft had to slide back to the flange of the tube, it would push the whole assembly outwards.
i believe this why it was off an inch.

I’m gonna put it together with the 13.5 shaft.
Don’t understand why it works this way for a M210.

SUCCESS!!!
Using the 13.5 worked.
I wonder why if I have a M210 I use the shorter shaft. I guess Ford only knows.
I truly appreciate all of your help!!!
Because lockers have an offset spider gears due to the locking mechanism.
