Forscan Bronco Oil Pressure?

I have a 2023 Bronco Big Bend. Finally got to removing the double honk and activated Nav on the fly. I now would love to have a way to add Oil Pressure somewhere on the dash in either a guage or light. My vehicle right now had absolutely no way to see if you have Oil Pressure other than hope a light comes on if your oil pressure is too low. In the old days we called that an Idiot light. If anyone knows how to program oil pressure into this vehicle using Forscan I would be forever Thankful. I have seen guys converting to Raptor dashes for $2500 but I dont want to pay that much money to have what should be common sense gauges present.

I have owned Ford vehicles for over 45 years now and have been a loyal Ford buyer. I think there relatively a good vehicle. But some of the stuff over the last 10 years has me shaking my head. GPS that sucks, F150 plastic oil pans that leak after 2000 miles, GPS now that you have to pay a yearly subscription to get, Oil change locations that are dam near impossible to get to and the list goes on and on. This will be my last Ford product. I need to see if there all this stupid in building cars.

Don't know that I've seen really any way to add anything to the instrument cluster or Sync screen that wasn't already programmed to be there in some fashion.

Your best bet may be to keep your OBD2 adapter plugged in and run a second screen from it (your phone or an old phone or something works well) - where you can show almost any PID value you can get from the ECMs.

That, or, the tried and true old fashioned analog oil pressure gauge.

If nothing else, there are many OBD2 oil pressure gauge/multi gauge solutions that are extremely simple to set up.

Neither the Torque app or Banks iDash will display oil pressure via ODB2

I seen that thread. I went under my bronco and found the oil pressure sensor. Its in there by and under the oil filter and is dam near impossible to get to it and there's no room there for anything like a T fitting etc. I couldnt even get it unplugged to see if the oil pressure light would then come on, on the dash.

I think MB3Z7E440A or SW8619 is the part number. Just curious, Is that a simple switch or a sending unit?? Maybe @Ducati1098 can shed some light. I'm guessing the ECU needs better oil pressure data than a simple switch could provide.

I have not installed mine yet, but I am going to install an electrical gauge and not mechanical (no way would I run a pressurized oil line into the cabin). The OEM sending unit cannot only be a switch, it must provide a pressure range to the ECU in order for it to make "decisions" <--just my opinion.

There are a few posts past that which show the location of the OEM sending unit on both a 2.7L and a 2.3L.

I think MB3Z7E440A or SW8619 is the part number. Just curious, Is that a simple switch or a sending unit?? Maybe @Ducati1098 can shed some light. I'm guessing the ECU needs better oil pressure data than a simple switch could provide.

MB3Z-7E440-A is for the transfer case.

The engine oil pressure sensor is GN1Z-9D290-D for the 2.3, and ML3Z-9D290-A for the 2.7/3.0.
It's a 3 wire sensor, which is all the PCM needs for oil pressure data. Everything is based off that sensor.

The F-150 guys seem to have found the oil pressure PID for the 2.7. Haven't checked this on my Bronco but it is worth a shot.
