I spied a Facebook post this morning about real broncos and two doors, and I wanted to snarkily reply that they also have V8s#COYOTESWAPTHEWORLD!
For sure.Ouch.
I think at that point I'd just look at dropping in a complete reman or something.
I warned people in the comments of a lot of posts about this and you guys said I’m dumb and the belts won’t fail. This one has been soaking for a max of 5 years..![]()

Just doing some basic internet sleuthing and rebuilt/remanned 2.3's were in the $3-5k range, and 2.7 s in the $4-6k range, and fairly readily available.Due to labor costs for all of the "do it while you are..." repairs, I like the idea of swapping in a low-mileage engine from a totaled Bronco where the engine was not damaged. It might take a bit to source, but would probably be a good 200k ownership plan.
The thread starter is not the ownerHave you been using standard oil, synthetic blend or full synthetic? Obviously lots of highway miles with that mileage - steady temps allows for excellent wear. What are your oil change intervals?
I have 144,000 miles on mine. How about a Godzilla engine swap from RC3 Technologies? I know coyote swap is popular….new ones have oil pump belt too. Godzilla is chain driven.
