Not in Arizona, nothing but E10 since the late 90s.

Now, you can buy 100 unleaded racing fuel on the Reservation though. Being Indian land, they don't have to follow state mandates. But it's $10/gallon.
Might check QT . They have rolled out ethanol-free at a lot of their stations. I didn't look that close last fall, though, since I was in a rental...

It’s the varying opinions on windshield washer fluid that cause the hysterics.
I only use the Rain X as it repels bugs better and bird poop does not strick

I accidentally put 94 octane in the truck today! I had no idea that was even available in the area and usually go with 93 for the FPP tune. The 94 was $.43 higher than the usual 93 I use so I need to pay more attention when filling up.

Govt love high ethanol gas because they get the greenie flag, economy tanks, and they earn 10%+ more gas tax ....conservatively for extra $1-1.5BN mth increase tax take on lower fuel efficiency. State like CA rake it in while others not so much.

All very enterprising: create a problem > mandate a solution > reap the profits long term all the while saving humanity haha.

We have plenty of Exxon, Mobil, Marathon, Shell around here so I prioritize going there for Top Tier than elsewhere when it's an option.

I waited to “binge read “ this one…entertaining…
Nothing knowledgable to add...but…here in my “hippie” “tourist“ town they have outlawed most corporate stores (Taco Bell and McDonald’s along with shell and chevron were grandfathered and somehow Costco happily got in) so highway 1 through town is lined with independent gas stations that seem to be pretty stable…no idea if they sell tier one but lots of folks use them…I have been using Chevron gas (drove tanker for them back in the early ‘70s) my whole life after shell gummed up the carbs in my Suzuki I was sold on techron…don’t actually pay much attention to tier or price (my goal in life was to be able to go the grocery store and gas station without paying attention to prices and have been lucky enough to achieve it)…my bronco and model A have sat for months at a time and still run…party on!

Would it still be a town worth visiting if it DID NOT have a Taco Hell? Y'all might be hippies...but ya ain't stupid! :)

With humans and other animals genetics is the primary controlling factor. With cars is it good design, part quality, and a good assembly.
As a runner(80 marathons/ultras) the ideal fuel and training won't make me a Kenyan. My genetics are good for lack of injuries, but bad for speed and ability to do heavy training.
Our driving, maintenance, and fueling behavior has been consistent over the decades even if our vehicle reliability has varied widely. No maintenance and fueling routine can save a cursed vehicle.

True, but you can't expect a solid vehicle to last if it is neglected or abused. Some do still last....but that can't be the expectation.

I think it's mostly the additive packages and cleaners that make the difference. Also the quality of the filters installed at the physical pumps.
The gasoline might arrive from the same truck for different stations, but how those stations treat it and pump it could be quite different.
There's guy who sneeks every night and pours a cap full of additives into each tank. Fulfills the legal requirement.....People feel good because they got their additives.

This true, all the brands get there fuel out the same spigot. They just add their additive. Lefty may not have the name brand additive. I say maybe becasue there are some off brands that may sell name brand without the name.
Exactly when and where is this additive added?
