I've tried premium and ethanol-free and noticed a slight improvement in mpg's. Maybe 2-3%, if that. In our area, premium/ethanol-free costs 15-20% more, so definitely not worth using for mpg gains.
Over the last 10-15 years we've probably purchased 4-5 new vehicles. I've found my driving style usually nets me very close to the EPA MPG estimate shown on the window sticker. Window sticker on our '23 Bronco 2dr SAS 2.3 7sp is 16 city/17 hwy. I believe this is the lowest EPA MPG rating for a Bronco (non-Raptor). Driving normally, I get 17 around town and 17 on the highway (75 mph no wind; same mpg's in 5th and 6th gear). Hand calculated. The Bronco mpg display says I'm getting 18-19 overall. Needless to say all these numbers tank with any kind of boost
