How many people passed you or got upset; I get passed on the 84 going 84 in my old vehicle.
How many passed me? However many cars there were on the road plus about one-third of the big trucks. ;)

Nobody got upset because I stay in the right lane where slower traffic belongs.

Hmm, good to know. Will try running 91 with ethanol and see if I feel a difference.
I use 87. I've put a few tanks of 93 through and you can really notice a difference in power in the seat of your pants.

Why? In the early aughts the government required all new vehicles to be built in such a way to handle E15. Before this certain hoses, seals, and the like were often used that could deteriorate prematurely with ethanol in the fuel, but that has not been the case for 20 years now.

The only caveat could be oil life, so perhaps those who are trying to extend their oil rotations to > 7500 miles might see what they can find out about how the oil they use is effected by dilution by fuel with ethanol. That said the vast majority of fuel sold in the USA is already at least 5% ethanol, often 10% during the winter.
I know I'm not putting NON ethanol fuel in my vehicles id have to make a special trip outta my way. I'm fine with ethanol, its never caused an issue for me. I think people tend to over think fuels. I've use 87 in all my vehicles besides my diesel... DUH. And my Focus RS which obviously requiers 93. But! if you have the ford performance tune on your bronco or any aftermarket tune they require 93 octane.

Still seems like for some reason for me at least you will go a little above the speed limit to pass someone and they will still get upset. Maybe it's just me. 😆

The highest most of the gas stations have in my area is 91. I may try it anyways if there is a power difference just because I have a 3.73 gear BB that I swapped over to 315/70/17 and can tell the power is down then before, not sluggish, just a little slower. May need the extra octane just to put a little less strain on the powertrain.

Seems like in the long run it could.
Here is the screenshot of the post. He is dealing with the Focus RS & ST cars. He says that non ethanol fuel causes more ignition corrections aka knock, as to where the fuel with 10% didn't cause any knock at all.

I fail to see how that’s going to hurt anything in the long run. Regular small knock corrections are normal. It’s doing exactly what it was designed to do. It’s not like it’s past the point of controlling it.

Will it run as good? Maybe not if you’re consistently beating on it. For regular driving you’d never notice a difference. It’s certainly not going to hurt the engine.

What fuel type and octane do you put in, I have been averaging 18 MPG since I have swapped over and also don't drive too aggressive.
lately I've been running top tier 87. IMO I drive the bronco easy since it's not designed for high speed transit. When I had my supercharged '97 cobra I was always hammering it. I decided to move on from it before I killed someone. I do coast to stops and lights that are red from as far as I can an I don't accelerate hard but I do drive 5 to 10 over the speed limit an I don't think I've gone over 80 more than a few times for a few minutes at a time, usually when passing.

I always run correct tire pressure an the only weight I added was the sasquatch 35's.

I park in a heated garage so my warm up cycle is short. When I had a 2.3 ranger an parked outside I lost 2 mpg in the winter now I only lose one.

Ill keep running 87 in my Bronco. I'm not worried about non ethanol fuels. I'm not gonna go out of my way to find it or spend the extra money. I beat the crap out of my RS, Bronco and my old Ranger. gas is the least of my concern as long as its not contaminated or watered down.

I’m not trying to convince anyone to switch to non ethanol gas, I run E85 in my bronco lol
I’m just saying that using non-ethanol 87 isn’t going to harm the engine whatsoever.

I bet thats a spicy bronco... 😂 tuners are starting to come out with flex fuel tunes for Eco boost mustangs and RS. But that requires other upgrades like the HPFP. i doubt that tech will ever come to the bronco though. obviously not a performance car. hahah

You’d be surprised! They already have an upgraded hpfp and injectors for the bronco raptor/ranger raptor.
Luckily the 2.7 has port and direct injection so the fuel system is enough stock.

The 2.3 is another story unfortunately. Nobody can even crack the tuning for those. Have a feeling it’ll be a while.

What would you say is better for the 2.3, 87 non ethanol, or 91 with 5-10% ethanol?

You're right! Port fuel injection really helps! Crazy to think they haven't cracked the code on the 2.3. Imagine having a built 2.3 with over 600hp like the RS or mustang. I feel like not too many people build the 2.7. But there are plenty of high horsepower 3.0 explorer ST.
