Are all Costco's top tier?

I know the one by me has Top tier because they advertise it on the pumps. I've been using their 91 (Utah elevation, we don't have 93 at most pumps) for years, it's been great.
If I'm not around it or at home, I usually get Chevron because of their Techron additives.

I use 93 stock with an intake, muffler, and FMIC. I'll use a 91oct tune when I actually get one so I don't have to worry about west coast goat piss gas
Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment. It appears to me that you are confusing "top tier gas" with octane.... Which are two separate issues and was the point of the post. BUT like I said, I could be misunderstanding your comment.

You do not have 93 because of the altitude... Just FYI...

My understanding is that Costco has top tier additives in all of their octane ratings.... I agree, I like Chevron, I also like Shell...

Who really knows? In San Diego, all the gasoline for all the stations comes down a single pipeline from Los Angeles so do not see how there can be that much difference.

I think it's mostly the additive packages and cleaners that make the difference. Also the quality of the filters installed at the physical pumps.
The gasoline might arrive from the same truck for different stations, but how those stations treat it and pump it could be quite different.

Most of the additives/detergents etc... are added when filling the delivery truck.

According to one of the videos, all Costco octanes are top tier rated and consistently exceed top tier specifications, and because of the volume they sell, always have fresh, clean gas provided by their own suppliers which further allows them to maintain better quality control. and I believe that chevron adds techron to all octane grades. On the other hand I believe Shell has the top tier additives in their premium V- power grade. If someone knows otherwise, please speak up. Enquiring minds want to know (so do I).

I attempt to use top tier if available

🍿
If top tier is not routinely available it might be prudent to ocassionally add a bottle of techron additive

Seriously??? This is that contentious of a topic?
You haven’t been on many automotive/motorcycle forums have you?

I buy my gas wherever it’s convenient when I need it, it’s worked fine for the last 46 years. I usually buy from Harris Teeter when here at home as we get money off as we shop at the grocery store. Not sure where they get it.

I’m fully expecting the ensuing debate to finally settle this decades old query.
There really should not be any debate on whether or not you use Top tier fuels. Top tier is a measurable standard which must be met, and routinely tested for a gasoline company to claim they are top tier and post that claim on their pumps. Thats probably while all the top tier providers are the larger gas companies.
