Having to replace the cylinder head on my 2022 2.3 with 50k miles due to a burnt intake valve.

Ive found some Mustang Forums using ARP 151-4301 2000 series Studs and some upgraded head gasket designs. ARP lists these studs as 2.3L Ecoboost replacement, however Ford parts manual shows different part numbers for the mustang vs bronco head bolts.

Is anyone in here familiar with what parts are interchangeable with the Bronco vs the Mustang for cylinder head Studs and gaskets? Most aftermarket sites dont mention the Bronco for 2.3 Upgrades with base engine components. Hoping to find a wiz in here that can help!!

Looking to do studs and a better gasket with the new cylinder head.

Just ask ARP
Well obviously I am going to call them. But real world knowledge of people who build and modify 2.3L engines would be even better than someone in a call center that is just trying to sell me a product 🤔

@Ducati1098 may be able to shed some light.

Curious...what led to a burnt intake valve at 50K?

I don't know all the differences between a 2.3 mustang and bronco, but the factory head bolts only show a difference of 4mm in length, which shouldn't make much of a difference for studs I would assume.
Probably going to be hard to find someone that is super familiar with bronco 2.3's specific builds since there likely hasn't been one ever, so I would agree that asking ARP directly is likely going to be the best bet.

I think the Mustang 2.3L has a 6500 RPM redline so it's possible there's some subtle hardware differences outside of the tune.

Maybe contact a machine shop. Before I purchased my Bronco I called a machine shop. He said the boat racers love the 2.3. I've been very happy with this little engine.

ARP customer service (and engineering) is fantastic. When i redid the heads on my silverado's LB7, they were great to work with. I would absolutely reach out to them and give them the specifics. Really just comes down to bolt (or stud) dimensions and specs. All their bolts and studs are designed and made in house in Cali. They will know or will advise.

Yeah unfortunately they can't confirm that they are a direct fit. As fas as they know the 2.3L isnt redesigned completely for the Bronco (which we know) so they should fit. The studs appear to be correct length and everything else is identical.

Ill be the test mule, as I have a set on the bench to put in. Will probably be the first studded Bronco in the US 🤷‍♂️

with studs, there is room in the block (you never bottom out the studs) and room above the nut. Therefore, the 4mm difference can be accomodated likely.

So the ARP 151-4301 head studs fit our Bronco 2.3 without issue? That is great information to know.
