22 auto. Non SAS BL 19k miles. Just not as smooth as it used to be. Could just be the adaptive function which I hate. Anyone else feel the tranny gets a little jerky after a few years? Seems a little soon. Could just be me.

19k would be pretty early for a supposed “lifetime” trans

But early is better than late.

If you talking about lower gears, mine does the occasional weird thing once a month that it always did.

If you have weird behavior in higher gears, I've never noticed that...

Crawl under and check the dipstick, it's not as hard as it seems. Not a popular opinion on this forum but, If it's at the proper level, red and doesn't smell burnt, I'd say it's good.

Meaning: a. You're misremembering b. There's a mechanical issue c. There's an electronic issue

For me it would bee a. And even if it's b or c may not be worth addressing until it's for sure noticeable.

Only low gears like leaving a stop light and person in front of you keeps changing speed in a left turn. Tranny doesn’t quite know what gear to select as you hover/feather throttle

Yeah that's just how this trans works

My 22 started shifting rough. Ended up replacing the valve body under the driveline warranty.

Probably debris in the main control. It doesn’t take much because tolerances in the valves are extremely tight.

There’s something they can run called an accelerated main control break-in procedure, which is used to help flush debris out.
I’ve had very good luck running this procedure on lots of 10R’s and it fixing minimal/intermittent shifting concerns.

If it doesn’t fix it, main control overhaul/inspection would be the next best step. Hopefully you can find a dealership with a decent auto transmission tech.

Good time to swap in an alloy pan with drain and new filter them drop the fluid every other 3rd oil change to keep the chemical package fresh no better way to ensure great perfomance and longevity.

Absolutely time. In fact I did mine at 7,000 and it was dirtier than it should have been and was never filled to the correct level from the factory. I also installed the PPE trans pan so next time all I have to do is a drain and fill.

Do an adaptive reset with Forscan...it'll smooth right out again 👍🏻

PPE seems to be a favorite there are several with drain plugs all seem to be similar. Prices are decent for what you get.

PPE standard pan. They have a large capacity pan but the standard is all you will need.
