2 things I need help with please:

1) where did the garage door opener buttons go?? I had them on the visor of my 2024 Wildtrak but I can't seem to find them in the owner's manual online.

2) how do I remove the plastic box covering the wires above the rearview mirror? I would like to run a power tap for my radar detector and can't see an easy way to remove the large strangely shaped plastic box at the top of the windshield.

Thank you!

The plastic cover above the rear view mirror simply pries off from the edges. Use a panel tool and just work it perpendicular to the edge and she’ll pop right off.

But, if you are looking to tap power for your radar detector look into a harness that connects to the back of the mirror like this —> Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088P4VFQ7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Ok excellent information, thank you. With regard to that harness, this is what the back of my mirror looks like. Do you think it would work? The wires seem to go into the shaft that holds the mirror to the glass.

Unfortunately, the Dongar solution that I suggested will NOT work with your set up - I guess Ford changed the wire connections and no longer use the 16 pin set up on the ‘26 Braptor

I got it figured out using your advice for removing the plastic box. Here is what it looks like removed and I tapped into the wires coming out of the bottom of that black rectangle in the middle of the picture. I could not gain decent access to the wires up and to the left because the clip that the harness was attached to just wouldn't budge (I didn't try to force it too much).

Thank you again!

It's because the 26 uses the Gentex Digital mirror and for some reason Gentex uses a different connector. Same 3 wires run to it, just a different plug. The additional wire you see is the coax to the rear view mirror camera on the third brake light.

Can you take a few close up photos of there the wires from the mirror lead to and are connected? I know they have clips to attach, just curious where they attach and then where that power harness runs to. I am retrofitting my 2025 with the Gentex digital mirror... and want to have everything as close to factory :) thx!

Okay, now I know who makes the mirror in my 26 BRaptor. Just did a Google for “Gentex digital rear view mirror power adaptor” this morning see that a 7-pin type A/B is used on Fords. Also listed is a 16-pin that “fits newer Ford .. models”. Also list Dongar Technologies (that I used before) offering 7 & 16-pin adapter. Not certain if the BRaptor has a 7 or 16-pin although I’m guessing 16 as I haven’t as yet popped the plastic cover. Planning on doing more research and thought I pass this on…

Sorry I didn't take any other pictures and now the truck is off getting PPF for a few days.

Yep. And it is the exact same mirror Land Rover uses... except Land Rover switched to the version that also has Homelink buttons (for the life of me I can't figure out why Ford didn't use that one!!.. I am guessing that was the original plan and something went sidewise). I don't need Homelink since my '25 still has the visor buttons.
I believe the mirror uses a 12pin CTE connector, but still trying to verify.

I could be wrong but, I believe the connector in post #7 above illustrates a 16 pin…

You can purchase the sun visor with the Home Link buttons built in and IIRC it has the connector ready to go. Even if not, it will be an easy wiring job. This is the OEM visor from Broncos that came with this option. It's way overpriced but the integration and ability to not carry a clip on is quite nice. It's also way less expensive than buying that entire option bundle new...

The connector circled in red is the 12pin connector to the mirror. The mirror side has a bunch of wires, most aren't used. The car side of the connector should just have three wires. The mirror really only needs power and ground to work.

The connector circled in orange is the coax cable that runs back to the rear view camera in the 3rd brake light.
