LOL - it’s all about perspective. I was referring to the connector circled in purple. This one looks very similar to the connector on the BACK of my Raptor rear view mirror…The connector circled in red is the 12pin connector to the mirror. The mirror side has a bunch of wires, most aren't used. The car side of the connector should just have three wires. The mirror really only needs power and ground to work.
The connector circled in orange is the coax cable that runs back to the rear view camera in the 3rd brake light.

If the purple connect is the same as what used to be behind the mirror, then is there enough room to fit the power adapter and close it flush? I really need to pop this off but right now I'm working on setting up a Garmin Tread Overland XL to play nice with the passenger handgrip.
IIRC there is a lot of room in there - you would still need to pass the power cable to the radar detector either via a small notch or just sandwiched between the cover and windshield.
Do you remember which colors you tapped into? I have the same exact car and I am also trying to tap my mirror.I got it figured out using your advice for removing the plastic box. Here is what it looks like removed and I tapped into the wires coming out of the bottom of that black rectangle in the middle of the picture. I could not gain decent access to the wires up and to the left because the clip that the harness was attached to just wouldn't budge (I didn't try to force it too much).
