I'm trying to find a solution for letting our 42lb dog ride in our 2-door Bronco. I don't mind folding the rear seats down or leaving them up, just need something for him to comfortably sit or lay in when we go for rides. I thought the Ford Pet Kennel (SKU: VM1PZ19H376A) would be the solution and even on Ford's online store it says it will fit my 2-door Bronco (I put in the VIN #). But elsewhere I'm reading that it won't fit the 2-door with the seats up or down. If anyone has other solutions that work, please share. Thank you!

This is my almost 14 yr old 100+ lb lab going to the vet. He’s gotten chunkier in his older age. I a couple beach towels or towels. Bronco makes it easier getting him in, compared to other family vehicles (primarily for vet visits)

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. I'm going to order the Pelican case and see how flat I can make the back area with the seats down.

I have to be careful and make sure my dogs don’t see the beds!
They sit in the backseat buckled in like everybody else. 😉

I definitely recommend some kind of mat to cover the whole thing. The Pelican case leaves some treacherous gaps, and I was worried about my dog getting his leg caught. Plus a mat makes it WAY easier to slide stuff in and out

Don't your dogs want/need to stick their heads out the window?

When you said "like everyone else" I was really hoping they were sitting up with the regular seatbelt on 🤣

This hits close to home. I had OBX 4dr last 4 yrs and my dog was never happier than with head out the window into the wind. Traded it in for 26 BL 2 dr and last 2 months have been hard for the pooch to adjust, def his biggest negative on 2 dr.

This one has worked well for me in a two-door. A little pricey, but I used Ford points and waited for a sale. It leaves enough space to put the pups ramp, groceries, etc etc in near the tailgate if needed also.

Multiple stick-out-points with the top removed.... 🤠
Which is great when the weather is nice. But when it's not...

I've owned 2 door sports cars and large rottweilers at the same time. Not a good mix. I'm always going to own rotties and I have a kid (which means there are always friends around too). That's why we always own a larger 3 row SUV as a family hauler (and typically my wife's daily) then whatever other toys we want to cruise around in to get those smiles per gallon.

Nice BC. Love the focus. Our Aussie and BC are good travelers. We are naughty owners as they are loose in the backseat. As an Xer the concept of rear seat passengers being buckled is still very foreign.
