Another update. Currently 49°F outside. Cold start noise is present, but less audible.

… wasn’t aware of this rattle until your thread.

We had a cold night and checked mine. @32* she was quiet like a church mouse.

Guess the Ford internal changes are making a difference.

Good to know they sorted it out! The redline fluid certainly made a difference, but I guess in colder temps it will still happen, albeit less noticeable, and for less time. With the DCT fluid it would make noise for a while.

About to throw some redline into my unit, first change at 31k miles. Looking forward to getting some smoother shifting. Not much noise from my unit since I'm in a warmer part of the country and my bronco is garaged.

I'm in AZ myself, so it's not as cold, for not as long, compared to other parts of the country. Jan and Feb get some colder days, but not this year apparently.

Finally got around to changing out my factory fill with some Redline MT-LV. Took all 3 quarts, and was a very easy job. 1 hr, including cleanup.

Way better shifts, much less slop when shifting from 1-2, and overall smoothness is restored!

Score! I'll stick to the redline myself. Plus it's cheaper compared to Ford DCT fluid. Win-win.
