JB4 is the go-to PNP tuner. Easy to install and remove, adds tons of safe power, and even works on top of the FP tune if you decide to also add that in!
I ran the JB4 G5 on my old N54 335i and loved it! That was a FBO beast. Haven't decided on a tune for the Bronco, but JB4 is definitely in the running.

I've run the ZFG e85 tune for the last 10-12k miles. I can't say enough good things about the way it changed the performance and drivability of my Bronco. Yes, I have most of the mods you can do for performance, but I won't go back.
BTW, If e85 isn't available I switch to the 93oct program (takes about 15-20 minutes).

10k miles on ZFG as well. No complaints. Full compliment of mods. Swap between 93-Performance and Auto-Octane depending on which National parks I’m trying to visit. Runs like a scalded cat as needed.

So the custom tunes address transmission tuning too right?

Appreciate the new thread on the 2.7 tune options in 2026. Seems like Goosetuned and ZFGR are top options and pushing the limits while the the ford performance tune is a mild option/safe bet.

-Anyone know if the 4l downshift issues have been totally worked out with goosetuned or ZFGR?
-Any tune options yet that allow a quick/easy way to switch between maps for different fuels? Being able to have 2-3 options that can be readily switched would be killer to avoid concerns of having the right fuel available.

ZFG is my tuner

As mentioned I got both the 93 and auto-octane tune. Easy switch between, but you just have to keep the RTD4 updated before each flash. I did purchase the extra credit to do so.

As for the downshift issue, someone else may need to comment. I know my sport mode is effectively a drag mode. It has aggressive downshifts, but I believe that was planned when not WOT and decelerating.

Would be cool if some of the guys like Goosetuned and ZFG could jump in and really offer what sets them apart. For me I’d really like to see a little deeper into the tunes offered by what air/fuel ratios are, boost levels, maybe even injector duty (curious being both port and direct how they play together). I don’t want to see any line pressures upped in the transmission tunes. I have seen valve bodies and converter options. That would be where I’d go for a bigger increase over higher line pressures.

like I said I’m curious how lean or rich they are running in different environments. I’d guess with direct injection they can lean pretty hard on them fuel pressure wise over the port injection.

Thanks- I must have missed your initial post. 93 and auto-octane seems like a smart combo to have.
How long does it take to switch them? SCB FabWorks had mentioned 15-20 minutes which seems long.
2-3 minutes for a reflash wouldn't be bad, even better would to somehow have both loaded on the Bronco and have a way to switch them through the menus on board instead of the tuning device.

There is no way to have a switch or anything like that.
Any change in tune requires a flash.
The MPVI4 and RTD4 are both capable of fast flash I believe, and even an older MPVI3 without it can switch the tune in 5-6 minutes

I’d say 15min sounds about right. Supposedly the flash tune is faster now but haven’t tried it out.

I’m in a rich 93 octane area of Texas but swapping over is super handy for road trips where higher octane moves between 89-93. I’d say you can probably get that with either tuner, but might just come down to which has better feedback here.

Agreed the dash swap over would be nice, but no telling the gremlins that would come out with that. I do keep the flasher in a hidden pelican case for the emergency swaps.

Biggest lesson learned, always sync/update the RTD4 before you try to flash (goes for both as they both use the hp tuners software). It’s in all the instructions, but I got excited to swap a few times and couldn’t figure out why it would instantly fail.

Pictured is where I have both performance revision tunes and then the initial tune and baseline. Cant get much easier.

For the guys that are tuned, what might be something you wish was different and maybe something you don’t like with the tune.

MPG doesn’t count as a dislike lol.

I can honestly say I don’t have a single complaint about my tune. Runs flawlessly day in and day out.
If I didn’t like something I would just have my tuner change or adjust it.

well the fist time you flash and it does some of the crazy lights and dash antics, I shit myself….

really wish I had done it sooner. Was always fun to drive but the tune took it to a new level. Yes I know, this isn’t a drag car. Having the ass end to throw 24lbs boost and gap a ram getting on the freeway is a nice bonus.

Exhaust. I have the corsa dumped. When I got the high flow cats, I added their small muffler so it didn’t sound completely like a ricer. Buying that ahead of time would be a suggestion. No drone even then but it hit a note that was obnoxious.
