Nope… read many of the Ex thread before my 25 2.3 BD 2dr showed up.

In many years & vehicles never found an aftermarket one that didn’t drone… except for the MC

Maybe Ford changed the Ex for the new 2.3l MPC but mine with the MT88 is good, got enough sound in stop n go to hear the RPM’s and quiet at speed to only hear the wind noises

Borla Touring, absolutely no drone. I've had systems that drone om vehicles and none present on this one, 2 door 2.3, manual. Doesn't sound like a fart can either. Highly recommend, especially if you have a stick.
This is what I am leaning towards on mine. My original plan was to not touch the exhaust, because you can't make a 4 banger sound GOOD. After a year of living with the Bronco, that opinion's changed. I'd like some more audio feedback from the engine for shifting. So the goal will be to hear the engine over the wind and stereo. it doesn't need to sound tough, or anything like that, it needs to just sound and not do it obnoxiously. It gets bonus points for twin tips, which I love for symmetry reasons.

Anyone install an axle back. I just installed the MagnaFlow duel outlet axle back.
The problem I have is at freeway speeds the drone inside is to the point I am going
to remove it and put the stock back on.

Along with another poster on here, I have the MRT trail-rated on my 2.3L. I love it. Brings up the noise in a very nice way that also allows me to hear how the engine sounds when I'm off-road. MRT also installed a resonator with mine, which I believe is used to tone down or even remove any drone. It doesn't sound like I'm trying to make a 2.3L sound more beefy, it just enhances the sound in a way that adds some bass and is very nice.

Side question… I have a 2.7 and the Roush High Clearance Axle-Back Exhaust with Black Tip. I didn’t put on the black tip which is like 6+” long. If I put that on will it sound different.
Sounds like a good experiment maybe take some videos of before and after you put it on? - I have that same kit on the 2.7 and I have had the tip on since I installed it and think it sounds good. I can't imagine the tip would change the sound too much.

Almost all aftermarket cat-back 4 cylinder exhausts drone. I don't believe any of the exhaust makers claims nor do I believe posters claims. I can't count the times over the decades I've heard the "I have exhaust X and it doesn't drone" on an exhaust that clearly drones. I just think a lot of people have high tolerance for poor exhaust sound. Now on an axle back it's possible to have low drone, providing the muffler design is sound but still a lot of times with 4 cylinder engines and aftermarket exhausts it's a matter of louder sound, not necessarily better sound.

Sometimes louder sound is the goal. As I said earlier, you can't make these sound 'good' no matter what the kids with the vtecs try to tell you. You may be able to replace displacement with forced induction, but there's literally no replacement for extra cylinders, and beyond that for sound, I'd argue valve actuation is important.

What I find with the Bronco is, it's too smooth and quiet. I can't 'feel' the RPMs as well as on an older car, and I can't hear them either because it's so quiet. If I drove an automatic, that would be perfectly fine with me. I don't, so it isn't though. I want to hear my RPMs a bit better for shifting purposes, and that unfortunately needs more volume. Finding the right increase will be the hard part, since most of the video clips give the sound from the outside, and not as much on the inside in normal driving. It's going to be an expensive gamble when I decide to pull the trigger.

I did the same (also Big Bend Manual) and agree. The other things I like about this system is the muffler is tucked up, the polishes SS tips are barely visible, and it is all 304 SS so it will never get ugly.

What I hated most about the factory set up is the huge muffler hanging there and once it starts corroding, you will be seeing that too.

Ford Performance, described by some as the Borla S, can be had for a tick over $300 using code JOLLY20. Saves about $75-80 and drop-ships to the dealer.

It's going to be an expensive gamble when I decide to pull the trigger.
Instead of paying for the Borla or similar name, you can do what I did and remove the OEM muffler yourself and put on cheap resonator's from Amazon until you get the level of sound level you want (I stopped at two). I have a thread on it here somewhere, my Google Fi is failing me at the moment...

Interesting suggestion. It will certainly get considered when I get around to spending that part of the bronco's budget.

I ran the RC muffler delete for 5-6 months and I just put the suitcase back on before the snow came. I think I had myself fooled that I might of liked the sound only because I did it. Really like some one else said earlier in the post. Look at other things to do to your Bronco. Now that I just have my humm from the mud tires I am much happier driving.

Since this F P exhaust has more flow and HP?, does that require a Forscan change?

That would be a question best answered by those that have it already installed AND who use ForScan.

In my case, my Bronco is still being built while I stockpile the goodies. I stumbled across the discount code and wanted to share it...and thinking about going back to see if the JOLLY25 will work on the winch. The codes varied by amount spent...
