I just completed my first oil change. I drained and added 6 qts (plus replaced filter). I discovered the hard way that I definitely drained more than 6 qts from the vehicle when I accidentally overflowed both oil containers putting the old oil in. I just want to confirm that 6 QTs is the correct amount of oil for a 2024 2.3L. Based on the dipstick, it doesn’t seem to be running low.
Assuming 6 QTs is the right amount, does that just mean the dealership put too much in when they did an oil change before I purchased it?
