B & O - The Best Premium Audio Ever?

Just NOT in our Bronco!!!

Seriously though, I had to take my wife's GV70 in for a recall. The Lexicon system in her GV70 is impressive. They put us in a GV80 to use & go out to lunch in. The B & O in that thing was AMAZING! Loud, Clear, Clean. I've yet to hear ANY factory premium system come close to that (Bose - Nissan / JBL - Toyota / Alpine - Jeep). That thing was so good I can't imagine anyone wanting to mod it.

Makes you wish Ford was not run by Accountants.

The B&O in my BRaptor is just ok. I wish there were a simple way to improve upon it. Doesn’t seem to be the case. People will come along with a “simple” fix, but having seen a few, they aren’t what I’d personally call “simple”.

Compared to my 2013 Wrangler, the B&O is like sitting at Red Rocks or Carnage Hall.
Look at the Bronco, it is not exactly the best layout and platform for great sounds. All things considered, the system sounds great.

The sound in general is FINE, my problem is the sub. I listen to pretty bass heavy music, but the sub started to develop this OBNOXIOUS rattle, I mean horrible. Even though it's caused by bass intense music, no subwoofer should be making a noise like that. It happened when I turned the volume past like 15. I have taken it to the dealer like 4 or 5 times to get it fixed and they eventually replaced the entire subwoofer. Still rattles. If anybody has had this same issue PLEASE let me know what you have done to remedy it because I am beyond fed up with it.

I admit, it's not everyone's cuppa... but my thinking was that wakeboarding cans are meant for open environment @ speed and able to hear music over the sound of multiple outboard engines...that's pretty much what the Bronco sounds like on the highway when you're fully "nekkid".

Have to admit, it's nice hearing your tunes on the highway with the top and doors off!

B&O isn’t even a company anymore. Harman Kardon took them over a decade ago and just licenses the name out. Harman’s engineers may work a small amount with Ford, but overall they’re the same crappy speakers with and undersized amp with a DSP tune applied.
