Have you replaced brake rotors or pads yet? I'm at 69,000 and 3.6 years, nothing broken, plenty of brake life. Also 285/70R17 Badlands take-offs wheels.2.7 engine, no issues.
nope.

MY 2021 - Ordered July 2020 - Built in Nov 2021
Update: Just crossed 107,000 Miles

Same brakes and rotors. Service shop insists they still indicate wear as very good.
RTR Tech 6 with Falken AT3-W 285-70-17
3 Windshields. Added Deflector after 3rd. Seems to have helped.
60% HWY - legitimately 40% Off Pavement on Sand, Snow, Mud, rocky rural and mountain roads.
Have probably over-changed oil at about every 4k but runs like a rollercoaster
Did full transmission and transfer case service early at around 70k
Note: Did need to revisit to have tranny fluids adjusted and topped off to rid gear whine noise.
Has since been flawless. Those that have done transfer and transmission service have indicated some of the tweaks needed to insure fluid levels are topped off. Not doing so results in gear noise.

I have an outstanding, reliable, and very 6G enthused Ford OEM Deal service crew.
Pic is of a work site. We shoot film in fantastically hostile environments. 6G loves it.

No regrets. Thrilled with BD as we feel less guilty racking up the miles, getting it filthy, and hosing it out. In retrospect, the BD was the proper level of 6G for us. The sole negative is I still harbor anger about the $695 OEM Hard Top Swap and swindle. We got our vehicle a year sooner than friends that stuck out the hard top debacle and both of their tops have failed in some way, but to honest, it still stings.

Shout to @mpeugeot, our Shaman

Yep, just replace the pressure switch on the AC compressor. it's attached to a dongle as well. I think the part was minimal in cost, but it was under warranty anyways.

I'm guessing @flip can help you find the part, but give him a break while they deal with their sale.
I had my AC go out at about 95k miles, turned out to be this issue. I paid over 1k$ for the replacement of that part as they needed to purge and refill the coolant. Do we know if this can be just replaced without purging and refilling the coolant or will that always be required. I ask because i'm at 100k miles now and i'm seeing the same issue.

88,000 Miles on 21 Badlands,

Just replaced all pads and rotors a couple weeks ago, Fronts would have been good for another 20K at least, Rear's were down to just under 3mm so they were due.

Still on my first windshield, Which just got a crack the beginning of summer, And I'll have to replace it before inspection in December, I think I'm extremely lucky on that score, as I drive I-95 in Northern Virginia 5 days a week... I was replacing one a year in Jeeps before I bought the Bronco.

Replaced the bad brake vacuum hose on my own before the TSB existed.

Replaced the Bilsteins with Eibachs because of a lost reservoir before the recall existed.

OEM Battery went bad at 2 years

Swaybar Disconnect throws a low pressure warning every couple weeks, the one that you can't dismiss, and tells you to take it in for service, I just reset the DTC, it goes away and I go on with life, The Swaybar works fine, just a stupid error.

I've overheated the AWD transfer case wheeling hard, and when you do it strands you where you are until it cools off.

All in all, far from trouble free, But I still enjoy it!

Hi,

I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 that serves me pretty well, with 180k miles on it. Frankly it's still going strong, and if I were "pound-wise" I would keep running it. But damnit I like the look of the Bronco, and prices have come down a little bit.

But I don't want a vehicle that needs massive repairs every 40k miles. The CX-5 has had maybe $5,000 of maintenance done to it over the past 11 years, not including tires and oil. I like this. I'd like my next vehicle to be the same level of care-free.

For those that are putting miles on the Bronco, how is it going drivetrain-wise? If it matters, I'm leaning toward a 2.3L four-door.
My 2021 4dr 2.7 has 74,000 miles (highway & beach) and now it's first annoying service problem: the window washer tank leaks and won't wash the windshield. It'll get fixed at upcoming service. I have 125,000 warranty. Problem: washer tank is under the ARB Air Pump, on a KR Bracket, and I expect the dealer to want an extra charge for moving it out of way! I'm saving my $ to install a set of Bilstein 8200's next year. QUESTION Should I be changing out the transmission & TC fluids at 75,000 service, or wait? Otherwise, a problem free vehicle. The main annoyance is too many recalls.

THIRD?! showoff. I'm on my 8th.

And to add value to the thread, I just rolled over 80k, and it has had two (now three) problems in it's life:
  • Washer bottle plastic weld split and peed all my fluid out around 15k (odd-ball one off, IMO)
  • brake booster vacuum hose failed, causing firm brake pedal. replaced at about 50k, had to fight with dealer to get them to admit it was a problem
  • And now (as of this very morning), AC Pressure sensor failed, causing intermittent AC cut out while driving. AC still worked quite well, to be clear, would just randomly shut off for a few seconds. SSM 51358 for anyone running into the same problem
Good to know about the plastic washer bottle split. Will save my dealer some time fixing my washer bottle, which stopped holding fluid this month at 75,000

I've mostly owned Nissan/Infiniti vehicles in my life and built quite a few high-power/high performance cars and one very custom lifted R51 Pathfinder. Those cars were insanely reliable. Tires, brakes, wiper blades and oil changes basically. I did a clutch on my 240 build, an alternator in my Maxima build, an O2 sensor in my pathfinder build and a brake caliper on my G35 build. That's about it. All of those vehicles went 150k plus.

My last vehicle (which I just sold) was an e70 X5M. An absolute monster of a car. Mods were a stage 2 tune and a custom exhaust. 640hp/600 lb/ft tq. I owned it for a little over 5 years. It literally ate ignition coils constantly, which I could live with. What started to get to me was the 22k in additional repairs during ownership. Everything breaks on those types of vehicles and everything is insanely expensive to repair.

I'm hoping this Bronco lives somewhere in between these two extremes, and definitely hoping it's somewhere closer to the Nissan/Infiniti end of that spectrum. I'll be sure to put the most comprehensive and longest warranty on it if I decide to keep it past the 3/36k.

We did our Transmission/Transfer Case Fluids around 75K at a Ford OEM Service shop.
Went well except make sure the fluids are fully topped or else there will be gear noise.

Just shy of 120k, Bronco is at the body shop because someone backed into it. The door handled the hit well, but it was still $4k in repair costs, but at least it wasn't my money or claimed on my insurance.

I’m hoping ford did not take a step backwards with this computer controlled gizmo. My f250 is a 2002 and under $1k in repairs in all that time. Before that a 1995 4banger Ranger was around 230k when it was sold and still on its first clutch. Had $0 in repairs. Only expense was one timing belt change at around 160k miles..

For me Ford has been reliable and cost of repairs plus maintenance has easily beat the wife’s Subaru and Honda which both went on over 230k but had lots of repair/maintenance costs.
We drive our cars and keep them a long as possible.
The Bronco is by far the most expensive i have ever bought and i sure hope this gives me a long trouble free life.

Thanks. Sorry you got dinged. That is the haunting worry. Glad it worked out.
Just hit 110k. Still smooth.
Did Transmission and all fluids around 77k
Doing Spark Plugs this weekend. Been religious with oil every 4K - 5K
Looking at belts and hoses but both a trusted independent and the OEM Ford Dealer feel they seem good.

Any Lube or other mysterious things you might suggest we address that we may be overlooking?

I’m on my 3rd fomoco brake vacuum hose assembly, the factory one and the warranty replacement have both gone out, this last replacement was outside warranty as I now am in 94 K mile territory. I have a 2.3 MT and I have no idea why the part is so expensive or why it craps out on me!

I’m still on original factory transmission fluid, clutch, brake pads and rotors, battery, A/C refrigerant, radiator fluid, belts, chain, and spark plugs. It still is a solid daily driver and gets off pavement and 4H time often. I do expect to start servicing some of the things above but at 94,000 these things have been good on my 21 2.3 7MT Black diamond 4 door

Currently sitting at 99,785 miles on a 21' Outer Banks Sasquatch.

I drive 110 miles daily, from Frederick, MD to Baltimore, MD and back. 75-80% of my miles are highway at around 80-85mph. Currently at an average of 19.3 MPG

I am on my 3rd windshield, it has a small chip but it hasn't failed inspection yet.

I have been relatively maintenance free except for the AC going to related to the TSB for it, that happened at approx 90k miles and just happened again so I'm guessing they haven't fixed it and will probably need to readdress with a different solution.

Still pending TSB repairs for Shocks, Rear Camera Software Update (They replaced the physical camera under a TSB), and the Fuel pump replacement, awaiting the notifications on all those to go get them done.

Original tires, brakes/rotors.
