Dealers have been known to refuse to use those rates, and have Ford refund you the money... since you paid it to Ford and not the dealer.

So while I agree the website rates are very attractive, make sure your dealer will honor them. A lot will not.

I was under the impression that dealers agreed with Ford whether or not they would accept those rates because not all dealers are shown as installation locations. When I had mine installed, the nearest dealer was not listed, but oddly, another location owned by the same company was. While I wouldn't put it past any dealer to try to figure out how to squeeze a customer, I suspect that if someone had a problem, it was likely an unaware service advisor (or the service advisor was aware but figured they could leverage the customer into paying more.)

The Raptor has factory remote start, so you'll want the keypad that supports vehicles with the factory remote start: KB3Z-14A626-B

Interesting…I just logged into their website and getting different information. It’s stating it’s not compatible with 2024 Bronco. Even when I enter my VIN.

My dealer wanted $350 (1.5 hrs @ shop rate) to install this. I did end up haggling and getting them to honor the Website price. I knew it wouldn't take too long to do so I just said I'll wait in the lobby and made an appointment to get it installed, but.. in the true spirit of you get what you pay for, it took them - 5.5 hrs to hand me my keys back. So I think they got a big F U out of it, and as a result, I don't do any service or parts there anymore.

That was before I had a FDRS-compatible comm device though... never again. I should have just bought the comm device then.

That's kind of why I've held off getting this, not interested in the potential aggravation getting it installed. I've experienced some shenanigans local, one reason I bought my Bronco out of state.

Obviously just a mistake with the website. Because it is compatible. Many have installed it.

Purchased mine at %25 off added the installation had it installed inside the fuel door. Dealership honored the price had it sent to dealership. This way I could refuse it if they didn't honor the price.. Didn't even come up, they installed it demonstrated it and thanked me

A family member purchased a keypad for me as a gift. Dug in to the install and came across this thread. Is it user replaceable or are you forced to purchase another keypad when it dies?

Unless our Broncos got special one-offs AFAIK all the Ford battery powered (non-wired) keypads use a standard CR2032 battery that's user replaceable - just not all that easily. Barring malfunction or super heavy use it should last years before needing replacement.

To put things in perspective on time frame I am concerned about, our bought new F350 is a 2007.

They are NOT meant to be replaceable, you maybe able to bust it out of there and replace it,good luck putting it back together.

Based on Google image search the keypad for Ford F-150 looks exactly the same and the battery is replaceable. See attached picture which came up from a web search (not mine).

I found another great place to install the pad and have it hidden is on the inside of the gas door.

There's another spot for this, backside of the third brake light (on bracket above spare tire), facing forward. Hidden till you need it ;>).
