Plus, it is a basic vehicle. If you need creature comforts, just about any vehicle on the market will beat the Bronco no matter how many options you throw at it.

Then why offer anything other than a Base model? Make it a one trick pony why dont they.

If i wanted a basic bronco, id habe bought one. I don't, so i didn't.

The most comforting thing I can say to that is... the vehicle doesn't know what year it is. Our perception of "new" is fabricated and shaped by social trends. There 's an OBS Ford F150 on marketplace right now near me with < 10,000 original miles. It's a time capsule that look showroom new. Put it up against a 2025 F150 with substantially more tech and arguably lower reliability, and define what "new" means.

My attitude is, I don't like the direction most OEMs are going. Too much tech, chasing EPA standards that were pulled out of a politician's anus, too much emphasis on unnecessary options, lower reliability, etc, etc etc. To me, "new" does not equate with "better" anymore. If people start to realize this, the appeal will decline, sales will decline, and OEMs will have to shift the focus back to reliable, simple, and affordable.

I think the current Bronco exterior styling is perfect as it is. However, I recognize that automakers respond to markets, and that a sizeable part of the market responds to new styling by buying new vehicles. So it goes...

I fell into that mentality for a few years when I got sick of driving high-mileage unreliable vehicles and wanted to treat myself to something "nicer" when my income started getting better. I quickly learned that my definition of "nicer" wasn't accurate. I had more issues with the newer, fancier stuff and started missing my old "junky" vehicles.

I agree- my mentality is usually "buy it for life, who cares about resale value." Normally it's not a problem, but when life tosses you lemons (or distracted drivers) and you wind up arguing with insurance over the value, it can get tiresome.

I think Ford did a great job on the Broncos overall. I have my complaints, but overall I think it's one of the best offerings for modern vehicles on the road today. It checks every box for my small family. I see no need to change it except for simplicity or necessary improvements (eliminate A/S/S, fix window channels, etc). Jeep has stuck with the same overall style for a long time, to where it sometimes takes effort to notice the little nuances between generations from the exterior. From an engineering perspective, I respect that.

This is fixed on the 2025 2.3 MPC Bronco

On the 2.7 they theoretically fixed it mid year which is after my build date. I have had no issues but would still rather have seen it mounted high. I would not need the mud guard then.

Wish they would rework rear door and fender on the 4 door to get rid of the triangular piece at top of door. I know why it’s there. But don’t like it. Other than that leave it alone.

I think the Bronco is near perfect in exterior looks and I hope we see very little change for years to come.
The Interior could use a refresh every few years to incorporate newer tech/comfort.
I’d like to see cloth seats and more interior colors which I think would be cheap and easy.

The ‘25 has several interior changes that I think are all for the better however I don’t consider them cosmetic outside the digital gauge cluster.

You can get cloth seats in a Heritage. Plaid, too, like some Broncos of old…

Relocating the alternator is not a "refresh". It's correcting a complete and moronic fuckup.

Some people rely on swearing as a mental crutch when they lack the vocabulary or emotional control to articulate themselves otherwise. For someone that boasts that they are well-heeled, you don't convince the Bronco6G audience based on the content of your posts.

To address the issue that the alternator location was a mistake, it was acknowledged at the time prior to production. But it was too late for a redesign of the power plants. The MY'25 2.3L has a relocated alternator and it remains to be seen if the 2.7L follows suit.

There’s only so much they can do exterior/body shape-wise IMO. They’ll screw around with the interior and paint choices and add ‘special editions’ like Jeep does.

That’s what would make sense, but they can also make more money by tarting it up.

Pickup trucks are even worse.

They used to have a single vinyl bench and smell of cigarettes.

Now they are family haulers.

If they offer a phev or do a decent refresh on the Raptor, I could be all back in. If those happen and I like them enough, I'll go for it instead of the Scout reservation I'm holding.

Same, I haven’t plopped my money on the Scout yet because I’m wary of a new VW brand but it checks all the boxes for me. I’d go for a PHEV Braptor over it for sure. I’d also like Blue Cruise, memory seats, and ventilated seats. I prefer the squared off heritage fenders so some treatment of that for the Raptor would be ideal.

It's not a "mental crutch", it's being a servant to Uncle Sam for far too long. As any retired service member will attest, we cannot utter too many sentences without including "fuck", "motherfucker", and many more colorful expressions. Sometimes we resort to abbreviations.
